"Dishonest and unethical business practices…"

This company is a scam, they are mid-representing their services on the phone and requiring enormous deposits to schedule a date. They will say let’s just get a date and we can move it to accommodate you. Then they when you go to secure the move, you discover that they do not do what they say they will in the set-up call. Be wise, look at the “F” BBB rating and the advisory on this company. Please do your research and use a reputable company that is not out to taking advantage of people using dishonest contract practices. The contract contradicts everything they will tell you on the phone. And none of the other company’s we called as we had to move to a real company did not require a contract or a 3,600k deposit to hold a supposed movable date- the “let’s just get a date on here”, we can move it we will accommodate your needs. Sad for us to see this nightmare experience happening to so many other people.

"This company is a TOTAL SCAM."

This company is a TOTAL SCAM.
They are not movers but some kind of brokers with zero responsibilities.
They provide you with the 'carrier' - some guys come to grab your stuff, take the money, and you will never see your stuff or money again.
They are mocking you with some delivery dates several times and each time the delivery is delayed.
And finely they inform you the 'carrier' is closing and will deliver all stuff shortly, and they provide you with some phone numbers that never responds.
All you can hear dfrom the Gold Standard after this - they will send email to 'carrier' on your behave and advise you to call those non-existing numbers.
Never have any deal with this fake company!

This is not a moving company, but a fraudulent broker that hires other fraudulent local movers who've often had their licenses removed already and operate under new names and dot numbers so it's hard to find information about them. Often they use names associated with reputable moving companies to confuse people into thinking its legitimate when in fact its all a scam! BEWARE AND DON'T USE. VERIFIED MOVERS. COM IS FULL OF CRAP TOO. MAKE SURE TO FIND A REPUTABLE LIST OF BROKERS AND CHOOSE FROM THERE.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIVES, MY FRIEND USED THEIR SERVICES AND THEIR STUFF HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED TO THEM, IT HAS BEEN OVER 4 MONTHS, THEY WON'T TELL THEM WHERE IT IS....IN MY OPINION THEY STOLE THEIR BELONGINGS. IN ADDITION TO THIS MY FRIEND WERE FORCED TO PAY A LUMP SUM TO THESE SCUMBAGS, THEN AFTER 2 MONTHS OR SO THEY DEMANDED MORE MONEY..CASH CAUSE THESE THIEVES WON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS, THIS IS SO YOU CANNOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK..BE WARNED THIS COMPANY IS DESPICABLE...THEY LOST ITEMS LIKE FAMILY PHOTOS AND OTHER IRREPLACEABLE GOODS.

"They don't accept no for an answer"

If you call for a quote and decide against them be prepared for a lot of unasked calls. We checked with Gold Standard for a quote on a cross country move. We decided against them and told them so plainly. They continue to call and harass--not accepting no for an answer--so disrespectful.

"Do not use this company"

Do not use this company. You will regret it if you do.

Showed up late. Passed me around to several companies who don't answer the phone. Price increased several times. Still haven't delivered my stuff and after several phone calls, nobody seems able to help me.

Gold Standard is a broker and they contract the work out to subcontractors. They told me to over-estimate the amount of stuff I would have on a QA call before movers arrived.

Movers were promised on September 1 or 2. They postponed several times. There were several days they told me they were coming, I waited around all day and they never showed. They finally came around 7pm on September 6.

The original subcontractor handed the job over to a new company because the initial driver got COVID and couldn't make the trip. The new company that packed my stuff on September 6 was called Road to Load Best Movers. DO NOT USE THEM EITHER.

The guys who loaded my truck showed up late because they had to stop and get boxes when I informed them I had paid for packing services. They showed up without tape or paper to wrap valuables so I went to the store and bought those MYSELF. They took a couple hours to pack up the house.

They could not tell me how much cubic feet I was using and the estimate they gave me was HIGHER than the "over estimate" the QA call had made me do - because they used that as a baseline and added more space just "to be safe." They told me they had no way to actually measure the cubic feet used.

It's been 11 days since they took my stuff and I have no word on when it might be delivered or where it is. The people with Road to Load do not answer their phones. I called Gold Standard Customer Service and they informed me that they actually have a 30 day window to deliver before anything can be done about it.

A few months ago when I booked with them there were a mixed bag of reviews. Now it's clear that nobody has actually had a good experience with them and the positive reviews are fake.

All around a horrible customer experience. I wish I had rented a truck and moved myself.

"Scam"

Scam, scam, scam, scam. This company is not a moving and storage company. They call themselves a moving and storage company but they are a broker. They will promise you the sun, moon and the stars, but once they get their deposit they disappear and do not return phone calls. They hire some shady moving company that shows up in a rental truck to load your stuff. Your valuables will be transferred between multiple trucks which results in damages and missing items. The first clue that they are scammers is the fact they only accept cash or check for the deposit.
They won't accept credit cards because of the charge backs. The day your items are delivered you must pay the balance in cash or have a certified cashiers check. That should tell you everything you need to know. Pay the extra buck and hire a moving company directly or get a pod, but stay away from Gold Standard Moving and Storage.

"Damaged good"

Damaged good, didn't receive everything, no response for over a month then I gave up. Don't use them.

"This company is horrible"

This company is horrible. They called me charged me $3000 and when I said I would think about it they went all Rn way down to $1200. They have been Harassing me non stop calling. I’ve even blocked several numbers. The I answered and told them I wasn’t moving and they responded “what company told you to tell me that.”….like whaaaat?

This company is a broker who hires unlicensed movers to steal your belongings. Their “30 days free storage” turns into months and then they threaten to dispose of your belongings and aren’t true to your contract in delivering your household goods. Many people have lost everything because they take your money then all of your belongings and never communicate their ill intentions.
