We tried multiple times to unlock bikes, finding new issues with them every time! Due to having to swap for new bikes multiple times, we ended up paying 26 pounds for a 45 min bike ride for two people! A total rip off! We will not use Beryl again!

Just joined and it would be unfair if I was to give you a 5 star review but based on my contract with the team then I don't think I will be long changing my 3 star review for a 5 star one but I have not used the it properly and I would feel like I was misleading people until I have used it for the first time

"Overpriced and temperamental."
First bike was ok but cost me £5.50p to get to work, that's a 30 minute journey. So £11 a day for a commute. That's an hours work almost for alot of people.
I then got on a bike to complete my journey home and the pedals kept free spinning and the bike kicked out of gear. Stopped at the next station to swap the bike as this one was dangerous and gears didn't work. I couldn't unlock any of the 3 other bikes at the station. I then had to pay to reuse the bike I didn't want, so I rode a death trap home with very little help from the motor.

"£5 to unlock a bike with a flat tyre"
I didn't notice the bike that I'd unlocked had a flat tyre, so I locked it again, and while the bike hadn't moved an inch and remained in its bay, I was charged £5 for Beryl's failure to provide a fit for purpose item. Clearly bikes aren't properly maintained as there were a total of 3 pedal bikes with flat tyres in that bay, clearly a scheme to rent a more expensive electric bike or scooter.
Customer was shockingly poor and in view of this awful experience, I will no longer use Beryl.

"The company is great and prices are really decent"
The company is great and I had an amazing, phenomenal ride - for a really cheap, great price!
It was also very clearly structured - with the details of how to pay, how to unlock the bikes, and everything worked like clockwork.
It was made very simply and easily, no technical difficulties - besides for the end part of locking the bike which was a bit confusing. They did send a number to get help if needed, but the line wasn't operating by then.
But was really great. Many thanks for making it possible to have this wonderful ride, whenever and to wherever!

"Expensive"
I'm not complaining about the process of getting a bike, unlock, rent, return etc. Those were more or less easy and straightforward. But does the cost need to be that expensive? I meant on top of the Minutes rented, you have to pay just to unlock the bike? For a one hour and a half rent it costs £6.5 in total. It's okay to do this maybe once every 2-month?
Other suppliers else where (e.g Nextbike in Scotland) the fee was much more reasonable.

"Beryl bikes are fab"
Beryl bikes are fab! I needed a quick way of getting home and it was perfect for a short journey! I had a slight issue locking the bike but Evan resolved the problem straight away even after contacting him after the incident. The beryl team will always be on hand to help you out.
