I don't think you deserve even one star to be honest. Hiring these bikes ruined our day in 5 special ways.
1. My partner's bike didn't even have electric power at all
2. We parked the bikes and within an hour received a £10 fine per bike for not locking them
3. On our return my bike refused to unlock at all
4. When l scanned my phone on the reader thing it made my phone completely shut down and could not make it turn on again til the next day
5. We had to walk 3 miles back to our hotel and we were very tired.
Having said all that, customer service was very good and refunded the whole ride so good on you for that Beryl. Makes me think this might have happened to others?

Not gonna lie I really enjoyed taking out a beryl scooter for the first time. Myself and my partner thought we would give it a try but the cost just ruined everything- my bill was over £17 and my partners over £19 (I had to run back and get drivers license 😬) for 80 odd and 90 odd mins of fun so we decided to get the bus back at £2 each !! And we could have paid no more for a taxi !! My partner straight away deleted the app and I will only use as last resort - what a shame

There was a glitch or issue which meant I got charged too much and after 5 minutes and a single message to customer support the issue was rectified and my refund was processed. Great customer support. Jaqcues was a great help and saved me a lot of hassle 👍🏻.

I’m afraid this just isn’t viable. The rental charges are extortionate. For the trip I’ve just done, a taxi would have been cheaper.
The bike glitched after a ‘Pause’ which resulted in a £5 out of bay fine and an additional unlock fee.
The only saving grace was the customer support, Scott was fantastic but Beryl shouldn’t rely on its support team to ease what was a really painful experience.
I was really hoping to use Beryl bikes to do all my quote : site visits. ‘Be the change’ I thought. But no, sadly back to my diesel van chocking the atmosphere and clogging the roads. Another pointless Go Green gesture by Brighton and Hove council.
