"Issue fixed straight away "
There is always going to be a few technical issues with these bikes and the app due to 4G connection dropping in and out etc so when my ride wouldn’t end after locking the bike, I was able to speak to Max on the live chat within a few minutes and he sorted it out for me straight away and made sure I was refunded for the extra time that had built up on the clock since I locked it. Great service, efficient, friendly and no fuss. I love using these e-bikes, perfect way to get around Brighton.

no system that relies on GPS and date networks is going to perfect but support are always on hand and ready to help with any issues. I am yet to have a problem they have not quickly and professionally resolved.

"Maintenance still an issue"
I remember using Beryl a few years ago, but stopped because the bikes were too unreliable and rusty from sea air. I started to try to use them again, but its the same issues again. It makes it so annoying when you're walking out of your way to get a bike and none unlock and the nearest bay is very far. Also when riding with a friend if yours unlocks and there's doesn't then you're paying an unlock/ ride fee waiting for them or have to ditch the ride or pay a higher fee for an electric. Also it just means I'm chronically behind schedule. Very disappointing that maintenance is still a big issue after several years in Bournemouth. They've invested in electric and scooter which is great, but not when you want a peddle bike to incorporate more excersise in your day.

We bought a 200 minutes pass for 2 ebikes in Manchester (200 minutes per bike to use one day). But is was very tough to find ebikes that we could unlock.
When we finally got 2, in a short time one of the bikes was already empty. We forgot to check the status of the battery. Our mistake.
Also the contactless way to unlock was out of order. But we were pleasantly surprised that the bikes are overall in a good condition. In Paris we used this kind of bikes and a lot of them were broken.
The app works fine and is really easy to use.
So I hesitate to give 3 or 4 stars, somewhere in between.
