I just sold my car today to Manheim. Paul Doyle was very helpful and explained the whole process thoroughly. He was friendly and made the experience better. 5 stars from me.

Ripping off customers returning their lease vehicle, going around it with the finest of toothcombs to pick out the most trivial of things to charge you with. They are a disgusting company clearly there to rip you off. Don't pay them a penny.

I sold my car via auto trader. The gentleman who came to do the appraisal was called Paul Doyle. He was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. He was thorough and fair. He explained exactly what he had to do and how the process worked. He was friendly and polite.very professional. excellent customer service. I would thoroughly recommend.

"Trying to get my lease car collected......"

I am trying to get my lease car collected. I teach and have 2 half-days. I have offered both days from 1pm but have had blank refusal unless I am there all day from 8am. This is not feasible for a teacher, my job hours in totally inflexible. If you do not offer a Saturday collection it seem reasonable to expect a clear am/pm slot. Why is this not possible?

I contacted the Dept earlier this week and spoke to Julie who, finally, talked some sense after several attempts by my lease company trying on my behalf to get an am/pm slot + being rebuffed.
She has suggested I call her on Monday to confirm - she has requested a pm slot.

Could you chase this up and confirm the appointment will be after 1pm when I will be home.

STILL not heard anything back about confirmation and it is now late Sunday……the car goes back Tuesday. I need confirmation it will be after 1pm. I will not be home before that time. Thx

Now Mon pm and NO info on what is happening tomorrow. ????

Update: having initially given 1 star I have amended to 3. I commend Julie who has been extremely helpful throughout and John who rearranged his schedule to do a pm pick up as requested. He was quick and fair with the inspection; the car was picked up a little later.
The company needs, though, to make it MUCH less difficult and stressful to get a pick up slot that is possible for people with an inflexible job - like teaching.

I would give Julie & John a 5*.

"Amateurs"

I am trying to buy cars naively I thought Manheim were in that business. I still haven't got past the account opening process after providing trade insurance, utility bill (on 3rd document now) ID paid £70 provided DNA . They've turned down my utility bill 3 times despite meeting the criteria . I have rang 3 times , They say it'll take 2-3 days , ring back 3 days later and they say it'll take upto 5 days. Joke of a company

Avoid like plague.
Car traders and dealers you are warned.
Manhiem do dodgy checks on car with all given clear on car but as soon as you take it out of the Auction premises and thats where the faults shows up. Then their surecheck covers nothing. Turbo is not covered. Timing belt is not covered (only covered if completly snaps lol), injectors are not covered.
noisy engine is not covered. smoking engine is not covered. If nothing is covered then what do you cover then? Don't waste your time and money on this dodgy auction house. They resit the engine before sale and then sell it as all good.
I bought 12 cars from them with all clean and green assured report 7 of them turned out to have major faults and they wont cover any of those.
You are being warned. DO NOT BUY FROM MANHEIM
