Manheim

"Not so guaranteed…."
Agreed an Instant Offer guaranteed valuation from Manheim via Auto Trader. Just be aware there is nothing ‘guaranteed’ about it - their claims on this are bordering on deceptive.
Less than 24 hours before the car was due to be appraised I had an email saying that the booking had been cancelled. Phoned up, apparently the online valuation was £2000-£3000 too high.
Wasted my time, these people are nothing but crooks.

"Utter joke of a company"
Utter joke of a company - they have no intention of buying. Got phone call cancelling appointment less than 24 hrs before they were due to purchase the car. Their excuse is that the computer offered too high a price. Don't waste your time....

"Would give less than 1 star if…"
Would give less than 1 star if possible. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Hours on the phone agreeing a value and appointment on a Sunday morning. Lots of messages to say the appraiser is arriving by 11am TODAY , then get a call to say market value has changed and the offer is cancelled. REALLY? Market changed on a Sunday, an hour before the appointment. PLEASE AVOID AND SPREAD THE WORD. Will be writing to AUTO TRADER MD asking why they are affiliated to these cowboys. Facebook and other social media sites to follow to shame this company and warn others. Come on auto trader, if you care, do something so your reputation remains in tact.
EXTRA INFO- what’s interesting is this companies response to negative feedback. A standard email asking customers to contact them for further comment? Really. If you needed anymore proof to avoid this lot……if they were at all concerned about customer care OR their reputation, they would be picking the phone up to you. Then again, they wouldn’t get anything else done! Let’s see how they respond to me……..BTW my car is an immaculate Audi Quattro purchased 6 month ago from Audi. They backed off because probably they wouldn’t find a way of finding fault to knock down the price quoted. I only gave them a chance because they were affiliated to Auto trader. Yes, naive I know.

"Just been let down by Manheim"
Just been let down by Manheim, they were due to appraise my car tomorrow. However, they now are saying that the GUARANTEED VALUATION was too high and they will NOT Appraise my car.
I've spent 2 weeks getting everything too there criteria only to be let down the day before completion. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF COWBOY'S! Avoid at all cost!

"Utter waste of my time"
Utter waste of my time. I was quite detailed with my description. Initial price was over 14.5k so thought that was ok. My car is very good condition with FSH etc good tyres and MOT date etc. Guy who came to look at car was brand new - no’s issues at all with him or how he conducted himself. After assessing car and uploading photos to manheim- came back at me with an offer almost £1500 less!!! Unbelievable! All because of a small cracked piece of trim on the front splitter. Absolutely scandalous! Don’t waste your time with these guys. Thought as they were thru Autotrader and were a big outfit they’d be reasonable. Absolute back yard dealers - avoid waste your valuable time.

"Lease car returned in what the…"
Lease car returned in what the collection driver described as A1 condition. Three weeks later I’m presented with a bill for £600 plus . Secondary inspection was without any independent verification and some highly dubious evidence pictures.

"Manheim & Paul Doyle"
I recently sold my car to Manheim and it was a fantastic experience, thanks in large part to, Paul Doyle. Paul made the entire process smooth, easy, and exceptionally friendly. He guided me through each step, answering all my questions and ensuring I felt comfortable throughout the sale. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend both Manheim and Paul Doyle for anyone looking to sell their vehicle.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS AWFUL COMPANY"
Don’t waste your time with these jokers - after spending 1 hour reviewing the car and taking for test drive around city the manager for Matthew Ross decides they need proof of purchase. Why don’t you make this clear at the very beginning instead of giving overpriced quotes with no intentions of even paying that amount and then wasting my afternoon. Stay away from these cowboys

"Shambolic service"
Shambles , Surecheck that represents Manheim is a total con. Charging for a service that’s shambolic, try and make a claim and they will look into how to get out of paying . Borderline fraudulent. Zero piece of mind buying vehicles. May as well remove Surecheck and sell every vehicle sold as seen.

"Bunch of chancers"
Seems to be a very familiar story as you scroll down these reviews. This company just seem to be to run by a bunch of chancers, desperate to find fault in your car. In my case, as in a couple of others on here, they weren’t happy with my service history, (which was direct from Audi), and wanted to knock £1,000 off. When I laughed and suggested to the assessor that was ridiculous, he wanted to haggle with me!! Bizarre. I said no thanks, and will now look elsewhere.
