"Double standards"

Manheim confirmed to me that they would collect my lease car and very kindly send a large document explaining all the reasons why a vehicle will fail a collection and if it does fail, I have to pay for it.
Guess what - they did not come and collect it at the agreed time through their own error. I invoiced them for a failed collection and secure parking for the vehicle and surprisingly enough they will not pay.
The collector who came to inspect the vehicle was very arrogant and definitely needs some people skills. A frightful experience and if I could give 0 stars, I would.

Recently had my lease car inspected by one of their inspectors and whilst I do accept that there are items I should have to pay for, TBH some of the items he listed in the report were ridiculous, this included dulling of Manufacturers badge (the car is 4 years old) rust/corrosion on alloy wheel centre caps ( a spot of approximately 2mm on 3 of the centre caps) which is bearly visible and actually surface deterioration and allowable within BVRLA guidelines as well as a 3 mm dent that isn't detectable only using a striped reflection card can it be seen. If David comes to inspect your car - expect a forensic examination! I now have to argue with the lease company to reduce costs by approximately £150 - think he must be on a bonus or commission.

Does not seem bona fide. An already described dent understood as part of initial valuation was used by 'head office' to knock another large percentage off the price so everyone's time was wasted.

Sold my car via AutoTrader Instants. When they come and purchase the car they make it clear that Manheim undertake the transfer of ownership. I sold my car on 17/7/23 and this week have received several parking fines for the sold car. Neither Manheim nor the new keeper have changed the ownership of the car. After speaking to the DVLA they confirmed that the vehicle is still registered in my name. After multiple phone calls Manheim finally changed the keeper however it took several calls to Manheim who initially fobbed me off insisting that the vehicle ownership have been changed. It was only after I spoke to the DVLA that they then immediately changed the car registration. If you sell a car to these jokers do not trust them when they insist they handle the change of owner. DVLA have been informed and they will be writing to Mainheim.

Adding to negative comments about this company They just cancelled booked appointment with no explanation within 24hrs of planned appointment. When I called they just said they had offered too much and can’t now go ahead

Offered me £2k for my car instead of the proposed 4k. I needed it gone so I took it as it was a bit more knackered than I thought. Imagine my surprise when I found it being auctioned for 5k a month later. I know you’re not allowed to swear. So I will just describe them by using a word that eludes to a group of people with no fathers!

Actual minimum value given by auto trader £2751 for ford grand c max 2013 automatic.
Once I received the call they reduced from £2751 to £1200. WHAT A JOKEEE

Do not use this company.

This is the first review that I have ever felt compelled to write and it is on the basis of the time wasting dishonesty displayed by manheim.

I used manheim via auto trader, where I was quoted a price alongside which it stated 'no haggling'.

After waiting in for 3 hours, manheim's representative turned up 30min later than the confirmation text I received.

He assessed the car for an hour, finding 3 tiny chips on the bonnet, and one on the bottom of the door frame (to convey the size of the chips, it took three people 10mins to find them again later!).

Following a consultation with 'head office', the reduced the valuation by £900.

I would suggest that manheim never had any intention of offering their initial valuation.

After sending the assessor packing, I called another BIG car buying company. They made an offer higher than manheims original offer and collected the car 2days later without quibble.

There are honest dealers out there. Manheim are not one of them.

Sold my car today to manheim . Paul came to check it over , he was very helpful, a really nice guy very professional.
My car is emaculate so thought it would be easy . Everything just got to be perfect otherwise price goes down. He took the keys, and the money was in my account within minutes. He said a low loader would come and collect it. You don't have to stay in they just take it . All round a good experience. If you haven't got the time to sell you car privately.
