"Initially very pleased but…."

Initially very pleased with offer which was £1000 more than the next highest. Car was assessed promptly and the offer was paid on the day. So far so good. I was told by the assessor that they were very busy (Yorkshire region) and it could be up to 5 days before the car was collected so I agreed it could stay on my drive. It took 15 days, several emails and three phone calls before someone finally turned up for it. This inconvenience soured what would have otherwise been an excellent experience.

"Autotrader instant cash offer inspection"

Had my inspection this morning on the instant cash offer and the guy who turned up appraised it like it was a brand new Ferrari and not a 9 year old really well looked after car.

A good initial offer online and the guy even said after looking around the car there should be no issues getting the original offer. The offer after the Ferrari inspection was nearly £1000 less!

Massive disappointment after reading the reviews online about higher offers given and getting paid the same price as the online valuation.

"Excellent Service"

Sold my car through Autotrader/Manheim today. Contacted them on line a couple of days ago and a very pleasant man from Manheim came today. He took photos, inspected documentation and took the car for a drive. I had been upfront about the small dents and general condition of the car so no issues about the car being worse than expected.This helped a lot I think.
I was then offered more money than the original on line quote so I aim very pleased. Payment took about 30 minutes.
I don't often write reviews but I have to say the service I received from Manheim was exceptional!

We wanted to sell one of our cars. We were not keen to advertise in the paper due to the covid situation.
My son suggested selling it through Autotrader.
It was very easy to fill in the details on the net and we got a good offer within minutes. An appointment was made, a gentleman came ( with mask)
took lots of pictures of the car, looked at the service book and took the car for a drive
We got confirmation of the offer and we accepted.
Five minutes later the money was in our account.
The car was collected 4 days later.
We were very pleased with the way the transaction evolved.
no hassle no strangers to the house.
Also we have had an extra bonus cheque from Manheim for £100.00
I can only recommend this company.

"Excellent and efficient service"

Paul (South Wales region) looked after the valuation and sale and was extremely professional and polite. He made me feel comfortable and represented the company extremely well. I've seem some negative feedback on this company and I feel that it is clear in the Tcs and Cs and there is a delay in picking the vehicle up (approx 7 days) , therefore it is not justified. Would not hesitate to recommend or use again ! Thank you.

"Massive delay collecting vehicle"

Car sold on the 27th of August, still waiting for collection on 13 th of September. We’re effectively storing someone else’s vehicle free of charge at this point!
To be fair to customers, Manheim should warn them about this before the purchaser leaves, or at least be in contact re: the delay.

"Received offer via Autotrader."

Received offer via Autotrader, Steve from Mannheim came at the appointed time 2 days later, he was very professional, he actually offered more than the original offer. We received money into our account 30 minutes later, thoroughly recommended. Unlike the company that buys any car,we had to drive to a tatty trading estate to be offered £600 less than original offer.

Sold car all good, 11 days later car still waiting to be collected. Trying to speak to someone is soul destroying as your left on hold, when you do get through the only way to contact the transport dept. is via email?? I should have gone to we buy any car!! Lesson learnt!

Just recently sold my car through Manheim, every part of the process went smoothly and as planned. I had Stephen from the west mids surveying my car and he was a top bloke. Helped with everything needed and was entirely honest. Ended receiving more than the initial valuation as I took good care of my car. Definitely the best company to use when trying to sell your car!
