"Absolute poor service from the get go"

Absolute poor service from the get go. Toggle didn't get sent till 3 days after booking and money was taken. Then you receive a lousy little piece of paper with barcode on it for after hrs that us expected to last the whole month. Then you receive no correspondence from these guys that the building carpark complex will be down till Tuesday only to find out when you go to go get your car. You ring the emergency number and are informed of what's going on, then to be told you may have to walk up and I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant with no access to my vehicle. Unhappy customer.

"Terrible customer service resolution"

Don’t use this service as trying to resolve with customer service was nothing but a headache and when you call it’s a Phillipines location call centre who are defensive and obstructive. This probably would be a good service if customer service understood how to resolve issues with unethical owner/operators. Payment is taken and onus is on the carpark owner to provide everything you need to know and the two parties to communicate. Unfortunately I had paid for a carpark from an owner who thought four hours after commencement of my booking was a good time to respond. I also had to make further enquires about the exact location as it wasn’t provided at the time the booking was confirmed (and payment was taken). I’d rather pay a bit more without the headache. When I provided feedback about the experience I was basically called a liar because the owner said so! Disgusting.

"STAY AWAY"

STAY AWAY - pretended to refund me, secretly changed my booking from one month to ongoing, lost $750 for one day's parking in Melbourne. This was my first time using the service. So I was cautious about booking one month only. Mentioned in my reason for booking that I might make it ongoing if it worked out. Unfortunately I had a flaky host who took nearly the first week's booking to turn up with the key so lost money there. Then the parking space proved to be sub-standard. So I arranged to give the key back mid-month and accepted that I'd lost $450 as I parked one day in the month. I gave this feedback to Parkhound before the end of the month and stated that I would not be using the service anymore. Imagine my surprise when I was docked another $300 for the next month. I had never ticked ongoing but logging in I find I was marked as ongoing. So I rang their equivalent of Customer Service, yelled at them, in between stating the facts. They said they would refund me. I check my credit card online. Yes there were funds in my credit card account waiting to be cleared. And checking this morning they disappeared. So Parkhound PRETENDED to refund me. That is deceptive. I have paid $750 for one day's parking in Melbourne. Unbelievable.

"Have used them to lease out our car space…"

Have used them to lease out our car park for years now. Customer service is good, cant fault them.
However the commission they take has been increasing . Started with 10% and now sitting at 20%. That's quite a substantial amount, especially when you compare this with real estate agent fees (leasing commission is only about 10% max). Definitely not happy with the commission %.

This was a good service. The communication from the owner of the undercover parking space was excellent and it was easy to access the remote key etc. I would use parkhound again thanks

"Good tool to find a parking spot"

Website makes it easy to find a space, select and book, and I guess I was lucky to have an attentive and responsive 'host', which makes the process smooth and easy. Guess it's not different from renting an apartment on AirBNB. Communication with PH was clear, and when I cancelled I knew there was a 30 days notice period, so no dramas there either. So, a good experience!

A suggestion to PH: Before I booked I read a few of the reviews (reading the 1and 2 stars first) and I would suggest to change the cancellation policy to e.g. cancel per calendar month: in other words, if you cancel before the end of the month, you won't be charged for the following month anymore. I guess that would give customers more freedom to commit to longer term parking, and is very easy to understand and communicate. As a business owner I have experienced that giving our customers what they experienced as 'more freedom', we actually locked them in for longer, compared to us trying to squeeze out another x-period or minimum subscription time.

"When I booked an ongoing parking space"

When I booked an ongoing parking space, there was no mention of the fact I had to give a full month’s notice. So I’ve been charged a whole extra month. Feels like a very underhand way of doing things.
