"Overall I am satisfied with my purchase…"

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase of the XM-10 "laptop", this their top of the line "laptop/notebook".

Pro's and things I like about it: It looks like it is all metal with very little if any plastic, lifetime warranty, 4k monitor. Although not a mechanical keyboard, it is not bad and slightly raised chiclet keyboard (best I tried so far). It has an up to date gen 5 ready mother board and bus, excellent graphics card (NVIDIA 4080), i9 core processor.

Con's or what I didn't like: they call it a "laptop", it is more like a powerful notebook, This PC even refers to itself as a notebook. Calling it a laptop when it is obvious it is a notebook is pretty deceptive. The logo company name is three pieces of white vinyl glued to the top (cheap looking). My salesman looked up what was done for cooling or heatsink as I intended to add another 2 TB drive later, he strongly suggested I get a better thermal pad not just for the new drive, but also for the old one (I got NAB pads). In keeping with a notebook, there is no CD or DVD and no SD slot. There are 4 USB inputs, 2 USB type A on the left side and two type C USB on the right (should be at least 1 of each of each side). Top back near the hinge gets really hot 185 deg F was highest CPU measurement (download "Control Center 3.0" free from the Microsoft store along with "Fan Speed Setting" also free (BTW, the battery is from China so I have the cc 3.0 charging stopped at 90%). The PC itself is really thin over all about 7/8" at it's widest point, so a Crucial T700 with heatsink will not fit inside. Also, I not sure if the lifetime warranty would still be in effect if you open it to even add the thermal pads. I'm pretty sure the warranty is void the moment you open it for any reason. I should have asked for a discount for not getting the lifetime warranty, cuz I knew I would be adding a Crucial T700 Gen 5 2TB PCI drive and adding RAM. They use a blue "treadlocker" on the screws, so when these are broken, they know the PC was opened. This might be what they mean by the Burnt in stage.

If the current real gaming laptops are as behind and dated as they are as of Sept. 2024, I wouldn't purchase any of them. I checked other builds and pre-builds like ASUS, Dell, HP and others and was very unimpressed and disappointed. I think I got the best I could find so far even if it is a notebook.

"i spent over $2,000 on a pre built…"

i spent over $2,000 on a pre built ready to roll pc and it came in about a week which was nice. but the first time i even use it to play games the cpu gets really hot. i’ve contacted them and asked why it gets so hot since it’s literally brand new and they said that’s just how intel is which isn’t true because i have the same intel i-7 core in my old pc and never had that issue. they told me we don’t know how warm the room your using it in is or if you got it tucked away underneath your desk (which i do not) it’s on top of my desktop with plenty of breathing space. i have to freeze my room out to about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and freeze myself to the core just to play games and it still hits over 176 degrees Fahrenheit. some cores hit 185-190. i’d say the pc will be fried and broke in a year or less. if i wasn’t dealing with that i would give 5 stars but to me that’s a major issue. i’m no professional at computers but what i always learned was anything over 176 degrees Fahrenheit for prolonged use is dangerous to your computer components.

"Bought my daughter a custom laptop for…"

Bought my daughter a custom laptop for $3000. To use for school/gaming Showed up it wouldn’t even start and had to sit on tech-support for many many hours to figure out the problem and then finally got it working. They said they don’t even check the computers anymore before they send them out. It’s all automated. Well, now after about five months, it just stopped working and after many hours and rude customer service They’re saying it’s a Windows issue But I’ve discussed this with a computer tech friend of mine and he says it’s most likely a failed hard drive, either way Gotta send it off for a very slow, fix it process and she really needs this computer for school. It’s a failed hard drive, She just lost months worth of schoolwork. My guess is this company got too big too fast and they can’t keep up with orders and are not doing a very good job/quality work just to pump them out. Hence, all the bad reviews. You need to do better Jesse

"Good warranty, but...what a POS"

They have a lifetime guarantee and you can't beat that; however....
I am extremely unhappy with the components they put together for me. The machine lags worse than my good old i9 running windows 10. I now own a $3,500.00 brick. It just sits. What a waste of money and my time.

"Fantastic Performance "

Fantastic Performance
My PC from Xidax out performs all the ones I've had in the past. The quality is excellent, and my sales rep Cody was very professional throughout the process. I am extremely satisfied, and would come back again

"I am not happy at this point"

I am not happy at this point. I had the liquid loop pop out of place three separate times now that I ship back the computer, All of the sudden they said FedEx lost my computer. They built me a new computer so let’s see what happens. I will be back to review and edit this review at a later time

"Solid Product/Service Support a little rough"

I have years of experience building my own PC's in the past (i built my last 3 PC's) and wanted to not deal with the hassle this time around. Their prices are very fair for quality components. Well built and performed great. Regardless they are custom pc's stuff happens, it appears my PSU went and was glad to have the warranty but I wish it was more transparent. When a return is required you are responsible for the shipping and packaging, usually you would not think that to be the case in a warranty situation. But it cost me around $250 to get the computer out there. But i would say my biggest complaint was the speed in which this is being turned around. 3-4 business days to start after receiving, and 4-5 business days to complete (currently on day 4), and then it will probably be another week for shipping assuming its completed in the originally estimated time frame. All in all for the price/quality, i do not regret the purchase at all but with this experience i would be hesitant to get another one, unless maybe the service center was not so far from me.

"Horrible customer service. Horrible Product. Avoid at all costs"

Horrible customer service. PC sat in quality control for several weeks, yet still has non stop issues. Broken drivers that took factory resets to fix. Incorrect BIOS settings. Incorrect fan timings. Incorrect DRAM speeds. PC does not monitor fan speeds at all. Faulty PSU. Overheating CPU (temps of over 90 C). Constant BSODs. Incompatible hardware. Water pumps did not actually cycle any water until I changed it in the BIOS settings. Nothing was set properly. Not one thing.

Contacting support, the agent, Sho, who claimed "i just work here my guy" was absolutely no help. Yes "my guy", you work at Xidax, that is why we are contacting you "my guy".

This is a $6000 rig. i9-14900KS with a RTX 4080 Super. Never would you think that my 10 year old rig would run better.

If anyone wants to reach out for a class-action lawsuit, do not hesitate. You can leave me a detail of your issues that I will forward to the lawyer here: xidaxclassaction at gmail.

Don't let them keep getting away with providing bad and faulty products.
