"They charge extortionate fees for the…"

They charge extortionate fees for the simplest tasks. They increase prices by a lot every year. Service seems to get worse and they continue to increase fees for letters, consultancy costs and lots of other things which can’t be measured. They couldn’t even maintain a poorly designed park.

"Always asking for more money other than service charges…"

In the four years that I’ve been here there has been big increases every year but the yearly service charges arent enough. They’re always complaining they haven’t got enough reserve funds so you end up paying for repairs and all of a sudden without notice you get a bill of £300 which you’re expected to pay Immediately when I’ve lived in other flats repairs have been done and includes in the service charge. I have contested these charges and nothing is done about it. They just don’t care. The communal areas are shabby. The grass outside is non-existent and I am frankly very worried that when WORK gets done that we will be asked for even more money at the drop of a hat in fact the flat that I love so much I have come to hate because of this they have taken the joy from me living in the flat that I own
I will not reply to your generic email as a waste of time you just take people’s money and do nothing to properties just charge us nonstop. You have made me hate my home because of your nonstop begging for money review your contracts send 1 cleaner instead of 2 etc etc

"Between RMG and Peabody"

Between RMG and Peabody, they seem to be intent on making life hell for residents.
Personally I have been waiting and fighting since Dec 2022 for investigation into black mould inside our flat. Peabody have done nothing about it and this situation has gone legal. Then issues with our lift in and out of service for over a year.
Then in March we all receive an increase in service charges by 658%.
Advertised as affordable homes and then they do this to you while providing no service at all. Incompetent and negligent.
So, i contact Peabody in March to let them know I can't afford the increase (who could afford and extra £500 per month!!!!) as the letter with the increase clearly states if you have money worries to contact them.
Their reply is to have the collections department ring me up in March even though I don't owe them anything yet!!!! and tell me I should sell my place. That is their answer!!! Who would want to buy with service charges that are more expensive than most people's mortgages!!!. So where do I go when I sell,just go and live on the streets???
All they care about is themselves and not the mental state that they are causing residents all down to Incompetent managing of the buildings/complex.
When you have serious repair issues they don't do anything for 28 months but if you say you cannot pay they contact you within a couple of days.
Maybe it would be easier for you if we all topped ourselves!!!!

"Poor customer service and unreasonable service charge hikes"

I bought my RMG managed shared ownership flat in July 2024 under the Affordable Housing scheme. As of last month (March 2025) I received a letter stating my service charge will increase from £103 a month to £578 a month. They claim it is due to a rolling over of a shortfall from the estimated vs actual charges dating back to the financial period of 23/24 (before I was a tenant). When asked for full breakdowns of invoices, they have not provided detailed information. Instead, I've been provided with invoices that are full of errors that do not add up.
The only advice given to me is that I may have to sell up and move out of London (who will want to buy a flat with such a high service charge attached to it? Not to mention the thousands it costs to list the property) This is causing me stress and anxiety to no end.

Having read many of these reviews I can see that others are in the same position as me, and I can also see that RMG have been taken to parliament to explain themselves.
Hopefully leaving a one star review here will stir up a response, as clearly they are more concerned about their trust pilot rating than they are for their tenants and the financial strains they are putting on everyone.

I look forward to an explanation and the next steps going forward.

"Terrible customer service and trying to double charge me"

Have continously been receiving bills for service charge payments that were paid upon completion of me purchasing my flat two years ago. My solicitors have also told RMG this is the case and have shared documentation showing this however I am now receiving bills from their collections department... I initially raised this issue a year ago with their customer services team. After receiving another bill a month back I got in contact again and despite contacting two departments and sending six emails I have not received a single reply from anyone. Terrible customer service, trying to double charge me and completely wasting my time.

"Waste of time company"

Waste of time company. Do not care about repairs. Waiting for a year for a lock to be repaired. Been told its on order.
No accountability or responsibility.
Happy to take money but not happy to help.

"WELL WELL WELL"

WELL WELL WELL, after doing some research regarding me being charged a charge for parking in my own bays, which I own and have paid for. It turns out where l park is a private road, (not a car park) but for some reason RMG would like to bill me for parking on my private road, not anymore, if I could upload photos of where I park i would and the shoddy work RMG has done, just search them on social media platforms for the truth about them.

"Deanna Sousa "

Deana Sousa is the most unhelpful member of staff at the company. She leaves the ground neglected despite being asked many times to get things up to standard. She asks for photos of the areas and never acts. Too lazy to visit site to check that her contractors are performing their duties correctly and tries to get residents to do her job for her.
Does not reply to emails within given time scales.
