"Onward have STILL not sorted my many…"
Onward have STILL not sorted my many issues out. I have kept ALL the Onward Portal messages I have had with them over the past 2 years promising the jobs would be done. Well today one of the jobs was to be fixed...after AXIS never showed up to do the job over a month ago, Onward, despite me warning them twice that the next company booked would not be able to do the job still sent them. CLASSIC the AR$E don't know what the PEA brain is doing. I have been warned and on a watch list with them for telling them how it is and they don't like it a CRY!. WOKE to the LIMIT.
Anyway, The job is to replace a ceiling they ripped down to install a pipe that had to be moved. They left the ceiling bare, Wood rafters showing spiders and slugs slithering all over the place. I have wated for over a year for this to be sorted. Today they sent out A Gas engineer to plaster a $odding ceiling. He looked and said 'What am I supposed to do with that?' we laughed and I told him the story.
I have stopped my rent for the last 2 months, placed it in a holding account and when all 4 jobs that I've waited for (One for 4 years) I'll pay it, Less the charge I'm giving then @ £60 a pop for not turning up or sending the wrong company to do a job. I really don't care if they say they are going to EVICT me for my attitude or non payment. It will have to co to court first & I have over 300 pages of A4 printed of communications with them. Some they say don't exist and some they say are not missing when they are. They forget that just as much as they keep records SO CAN I. Something the military taught me to do.
ONWARD...BRING IT ON!

"Life threatening “defects” "
My advise to anyone thinking going for shared ownership for a quicker alternative to home ownership please don’t, especially with Onward. From day one we have had nothing but problems and issues with them taking responsibility and if they do it is months before anyone actually turns up to fix an issue and even THEN you book a day off work and no one turns up. We’ve had a gas leak (for WEEKS after moving in) behind our integrated oven that we had to get British Gas out ourselves for, broken door handles so no safe exit from the property during the gas leak. We’ve had BLACK mould in our bedroom for over a year and builders scratching their heads telling us to use bleach when I am asthmatic and disabled, I had to sleep on my sofa for months and this massively aggravated my disability and pain, only when threatening with legal action was this rectified and when they sent people to plaster the repaired areas they damaged our carpets, walls, blinds and it is still like this now and spending most of their time smoking on my driveway and blasting music in their vans. We’ve had a builder randomly turn up and climb on our roof banging around for almost an hour with no one from the office or contractors knowing who this is magically? Now months after one of our roof tiles and the edge of our home has fallen off and could of killed one of us, when emailing customer services I have been told “your out of your defect period so… sort it yourself.” Even though it was fine BEFORE one of the people THEY hired messed around on our roof. Cracks in walls, left without a working shower in our master bedroom for over six months with a household of 6 people, two of them disabled children who need to use the bath often. Creaking stairs, wobbly banisters, site wide electrical failures leading to wasted food and terrified children, windows with seals not done correctly allowing water and damp to appear. I could go on for hours. If you value your life do NOT go with onward homes or Anwyl contractors. My children now cannot go into the garden safely due to the roof issue and the possibility of them being hit by a roof tile and us not being in a financial situation to fix it ourselves due to the amount we have had to spend repairing or redecorating time and time again after their “repairs” where completed. Again, deadly company and we have only just hit our two year mark of living here and are looking to move ASAP. I will be seeking the help of our local MP and contacting newspapers to ensure others do not fall for the scam that is onward homes. Be safe, avoid them.

Complaints say they will call you, I am still waiting .

Reported a repair towards end of June, operative attended on 28/06/24 advised followup work required & that I would receive a phone call to arrange. No call received so I rang back 5 working days later to be told job hadn't being raised, Lady I spoke to raised the job & said someone from planning would call me within 24hours again no phone call. I make another phone call I spoke to another Lady went through it all again,I explained that I work on a rota so they need to speak to me to arrange appointment following the phone call I receive text msg with date for work to be carried out 27 & 28 August (disgusting) contacted them again informing them I'm at work on them dates so now it's the middle of September apparently screening a floor is a big job & there are people on holiday & sickness so they are short staffed. I work looking after alot of end of live people when we're short staff we have to get on with it can't say to them no painrelief, no food or drinks today, unable to change you because we're short staffed. To top it all had a phone call today informing me the operative that should have come today will now be coming on the 2/8/24. Absolutely disgusting organisation with no consideration for the tenants that actually pay their wages. Perhaps I need to take up their lack of empathy when it comes to paying my rent. I was under the impression that having your own in house maintenance team would improve things how wrong can am I.
