"Awful company"

Awful company. I used them twice. The first time they cancelled the removal with 2 days to go and had to reschedule, causing me to reschedule a number of others things and a massive amount of problems in the process.
When I moved to the UK, they gave me an estimate of 2-2.5 months door to door. Even though my delivery is currently in the UK, and has been for 2 weeks, they said it will be another month before I get my things. The guy who coordinates delivery said he would need to charge an extra £100 for walking the boxes to my house, as the sidewalk was "too far". Mind you, this is not specified and they offer a door-to-door service, which has been paid in full.
Even though my experience moving my things to the US was generally pretty good and people at that end were efficient and pleasant to work with, people on the UK side have been absolutely awful; my shipment has cleared customs, fees have been paid in full and it will basically be 6 or more weeks until I get it. The operator / coordinator at this end has been unresponsive and inefficient, with absolutely no effort on his part to speed things up or provide a decent level of service. For the last 3 weeks, he has asked for measurements of the door (my shipment is personal items packed in 12 medium-sized boxes and no furniture or large items); he has also asked for photos and videos of the neighborhood, sidewalk, adjacent roads, building, etc. Everything he has asked has been provided, and three times. And let it be said that I live in Glasgow, not in the northern isles, in an area of very easy access where I often get deliveries, where is easy to park and where no one has ever complained that they had to walk too far to deliver a package.
Extra fees were paid, and yet all we get is unresponsiveness and delays, for things we actually need to live and work. I have used a number of moving / removal companies in the past as I have lived overseas most of my life. I will never use PSS again.
