Clarification to Review of Move July '24 and response.

While I understand that the respondant cannot know the actual facts but only what they have read in a closed file. Not firsthand knowledge.

We appreciate your response but it is clear it is an attempt to absolve yourselves of responsibility. It is important for us that our experience will shed light on your services for others to see. We expect nothing from you.

Regarding Crates:
Firstly our move was NOT as shared container but a sole use container. "I can see that you had initially requested for 8 to be custom made" while this was true NONE were provided and the 3rd party shipper you contracted had no idea crates were to be supplied. Further to this it was PRIOR to their arrival that this was reduced to 3 and still they were not present! I call your response while crafted to appear genuine an untruth and yes an attempt to absolve yourselves of responsibility. The items were not "antique wrapped with extra protective material for the short trip", complete fabrication and one you cannot possibly make or justify as you did not complete the service nor were you present. While we were! Shameful.

Timeline and logistics:
As stated regarding the state of our goods given the circumstance we were unable to inspect the items as they were transferred to containers. Yes the 'generous' 30 days is quite 'admirable' time frame given all that is required when relocating countries. We have not submitted a claim as we have just now been able to sort through everything and we had been told it must be done on arrival which is not something we could do for what I would assume to be obvious reasons. As I stated this statement stands on its own: "...Not unless you are prepared to hover over them, which we attempted to do but this is met with disdain. On both the shipping and the receiving end. We did purchase insurance but the underwriters are very good at absolving themselves of responsibility as unless you are in a position of unpacking every item as it arrives this is useless and another way for them to cash in. We had to take delivery from sea can to sea can as we were not able to have our home pre-purchased on arrival. Value for money (£16,000 plus crate costs and insurance) not good as you pay for security and honesty..."

Again, it is a shame you are so unwilling to take responsibility. We have accepted our responsibility and recognise that the fact we did not have time to sort through our belongings until now, you are able to say 'too bad, so sad' and dismiss our losses as there is 'no skin off your back'.

We are still out expensive tools and broken furnishings.

"Price was more than expected "

Happy with the service, disappointed that the original quote didn’t stay close to that. It was over £2000 more than the survey and the survey was done at my home. No insurance cost were ever mentioned until later in the transaction. Our computers were also excluded from the quote resulting in a much more expensive price than expected. I was sent a variety of invoices and it became quite confusing.

PSS helped us out at very short notice.
They collected our goods on time.
I am using this company to transport goods from UK to Spain.
At the moment everything has gone to plan.
Hopefully goods will arrive on time in Spain

From the first contact by Rob, then Jo visiting us to see the volume of packaging we would need for our furniture and other goods, has been very helpful and very professional.
Once we had agreed to appoint PSS we were contacted by Helen, who yet again was so helpful with her experience and advise for what and how matters would develop. The two men who came to pack our goods, Steve and Dave, were in my experience at the top of the tree for work rate and customer satisfaction. Nothing was too much trouble, very efficient. All round a very positive experience with professional, and importantly good people.

I used this company to transport furniture from Thailand to UK. They were excellent at both ends. In Thailand, friendly quick to respond and great packing team. In the UK the staff gave me excellent advice and kept me fully informed re transit times. the delivery guys were great too. I probably wont be needing them in the future but I fully recommend them.

So I was looking for an affordable company to help me move some of my things to Canada. I saw they were more affordable compared to a few others I contacted. What I failed to do was to come read some reviews. After I packed my goods with the cartons they gave to me, paid and sent them over. Pss came back to me fews days later stating that I would pay extra charges totalling £240. Why? That my cartons were extra by 0.02 and 0.01. The one that was under 25 kg (24.5). They said the carton was bulging, what?from the exact carton that was given to me? They insisted I pay extra for them. I considered this a rip off, they insisted I pay or else I would be forced to pay for storage space. I asked for an invoice indicating what they stated however they said they cannot generate an invoice for that. I have to take the added price like that if not they would not send my goods. I was already out of the UK, so my hands were tied. I am greatly disappointed with their service. In a bid to conserve money I paid way more than I anticipated.

The team have been helpful from start to finish, especially Charlie who helped me co-ordinate my move. So far it has been a great experience and I would 100% recommend this company.
