My contact at YGP was Nick HOLMES. Nick promptly sent me details of renewals (we have 3 meters).
After reviewing the details I had some questions which i put to Nick (different standing charges and what CCL meant). Again Nick answered these questions, and in some details i might add, which made my decision to renew easier.
It was nice to have a single point of contact rather than being passed around.

"AVOID AT ALL COST "
The whole situation was appalling and I would question the legality behind YGP's actions. An account was falsified in my name, without my agreement and there was no process in place to confirm the details they were given by a third party. This third party was an ex tenant (who did have a contract) and the charity I work for were the landlords of the property, not me personally. YGP created charges of nearly £500 for an empty property for which we had switched off the power supply. Even though we immediately made YGP aware of this they continued to hound me on a daily basis for the money, including threatening me with a debt collection agency. It took over three months to resolve the issue and I was given further charges. I was also informed that they would continue to charge me an extortionate monthly rate until I had paid the £500 and I could not close the account without spending hundreds of pounds to have the meter and all the pipe work removed. I have therefore had to switch providers for an EMPTY property just to get YGP to stop harassing me. This money was extorted from the charity which I work for and which they were well aware of. I am considering legal action.

Raees was very helpful and efficient he sorted out my query out straight away. A very positive experience. I have had to contact Yorkshire gas and power on lots of occasions. I find they have good staff but I would never use them again from a business point of view.
