"I hired a car at green motion - bad experience"
I hired a car at green motion. Very poor customers service and communication. Chaotic hand over of the car. Defenitely not to recommend.

Habe einmal in Athen ein Auto gemietet. Ich bin super zufrieden. Dieses Mal habe ich ein in Thessaloniki. Ich bin auch sehr zufrieden. Preis billig. Personal sehr nett,hilfreich und sehr freundlich. Das Auto sauber,neu ,habe ich ein grosser bekommen,alles in Ordnung. Nur zu empfehlen.

"A car hire company to be avoided"
This is the worst hire car company I have ever had the misfortune to use. The Green Motion rep was supposed to meet us at Athens Airport. We were in plenty of time. The agreed time came and went, and still no rep. He eventually turned up saying he was waiting for us at the Metro station. No explanation and no apology.
He drove us for miles from the airport. We ended up in a tiny yard off a dual carriageway, set within a bewildering network of roads in an unattractive business come industrial district. Without satnav, you would never find your way to or from this site. The woman in the office was not particularly friendly or communicative. We were expecting a Toyota Corolla hatchback (petrol). We got a Citroen Elysee salon (diesel). She pointed out a tiny dent on the bonnet and two small scratches on the rear bumper and took photographs. My big mistake here was not to take my own photos. She knew we wanted to drive to Corinth, but neglected to tell us the route out of their premises via a backroad, which would have avoided having to make a dodgy U turn off the dual carriageway.
When we returned the car, and after a long wait, as there was only one person in the tiny office trying to do three things at once, we were informed that there was a dent on the bonnet which wasn't there when we picked it up. I disputed this. They showed us the photo the woman had taken. The car was brilliant white and the photo had been taken in full sunlight. As the dent was only about 10mm in diameter and 3mm in depth, it was completely invisible on the photo. They had me over a barrel. I was forced to pay over 430 Euros for the repair. (Which, of course, won't be carried out). Luckily I had taken out damage waiver insurance via my car hire broker. This was a horrible end to what had been a wonderful holiday. I am still seething a day later! Now you decide whether to use this company or not.

"Do not rent a car from Green Motion"
Do not rent a car from Green Motion, they are the most disreputable bunch I`ve had the misfortune to deal with, absolutely zero customer service and extremely argumentative, they are not worth the trouble.
Stupid little car wouldn`t even get us up the hill to our holiday apartment, and when it rained I had zero visibility due to completely shot wiper blades and filthy screen.
Green Motion basically said "tough, give us two hundred euro and you can have a different car"

Awful. Just awful. You know when you read bad reviews of a service or product and think to yourself "perhaps they were just unlucky" or "surely my experience won't be as bad as theirs" and you book it anyway. Listen to that voice in your head and walk away!
I never write reviews...ever. However, for Green Motion Athens I will make an unfortunate exception.
From arriving late into Athens due to a delayed flight I feared the worse when we couldn't find our meet and greet person. Don't worry I thought, I've read in their terms and conditions that they will keep an eye on the flights and send their employee in to Arrivals to meet my family and I when the flight lands. The booking won't be affected and everything will turn out fine. Roll on 30-45 mins later and still no sign of anyone, despite 2 calls to the office who told me their man was on his way in to meet us immediately on both occasions. When he eventually did arrive he didn't have a vehicle big enough to seat myself, my kids and my wife along with the other half a dozen or so customers and their families who were clearly in the same boat as us. The only suggestion was that I would travel along with the rest of the Dads, with the rep to their office, pick up the car and drive back to the airport to pick up my family. Far from ideal. Even further from ideal when you realise that the Green Motion offices are a 15-20 minute drive from the airport, so you're looking at the best part of an hour before you get back to the airport, if you're lucky and the hire car is ready to go when you get to the Green Motion HQ.
Suffice to say, I was not lucky.
When we made it to the office I was told that our booking had been cancelled due to the late arrival of our flight. Something that they were fully aware of, not least because I'd informed them of it when we found out that morning that our departure from Gatwick was running behind schedule. Cue 20-30 mins of "oh, we might be able to get you another car, but it might not be the one you booked" type conversations, and we eventually landed up with exactly the same vehicle that we had requested initially. Back to the airport to get the rest of the family, paying to park outside the airport of course.
Anyway, "forget all of that" I thought. Let's just enjoy our holiday.
The car was, in fairness, fine. No real issues other than those you would expect of a well used family hire car.
Now, having read some of the reviews on this and various other sites about Green Motion stinging customers for the slightest of scratches (and even for returning the car dirty), I actually spent my time cleaning the car before we set off back to the Green Motion office en route to Athens Airport and back to Blighty. Surprise, surprise when, on inspection of the vehicle, I was told that there was a scratch on the off side of the vehicle that wasn't there when the vehicle left. I looked, and then looked again. I could not see anything, until I angled my head so as to catch the sun's reflection in the car door. To say it was minor is to massively down play it. Now, bear in mind this car had seen some mileage and had a fair number of scrapes and scratches on it when I picked it up, it was pretty difficult to tell whether this was there or not previously. Nonetheless, I'm prepared to pay to T-Cut or polish it out (absolutely nothing more than a 2 minute job that anyone could undertake - it really was that imperceptible).
£50 or so I thought, and that would be taking liberties for the amount of work involved, but I know how these things work. You pays your money, you takes your choice I suppose.
When I was told it would be over £200 I nearly fell over. Oh, and by the way, you can't refuse to pay as they will then refuse to drop you back to the airport, so you can kiss that flight that you're now running late for on account of arguing your case, goodbye.
If you have any choice other than to use these absolute crooks, please do. It was only when I returned home that I found the newspaper article on this level of extorsion being completely standard Green Motion practice. Look it up if you get the chance.
Sometimes the old adage of paying cheap = paying twice is spot on!

Am Flughafen Rovaniemi einen weißen Ford Tourneo (Nummernschild: RXA-7I2) gemietet... vom 08.02. - 11.02.25.
Bei Rückgabe gegen 10 Uhr niemand am Green Motion Schalter. Nur Hinweisschild: Schlüssel einwerfen. Jetzt weiss ich auch warum. Ich habe die Möglichkeit zu warten und evtl. den Flieger zu verpassen oder den Schlüssel einzuwerfen..Aber dann kommt folgendes Szenario.....angeblich kleinen Steinschlag in Frontscheibe und ein Kratzer an der Kofferraumtür....auf den Bildern selbst mit Phantasie nichts zu erkennen.
2000€ Schaden haben die angemeldet.....
Wer also vor 08.02.25 oder nach dem 11.02.25 an einem weißen Ford Tourneo (RXA-7I2) besagten Schaden hat(te), kann sich gerne melden.

No issues in the 6 days spent in Athens with my family. Just perfect.

"Betrayers and damaged cars, for waht teh client have to pay afterwards!!!"
I was given a very dirty car full of dents that had obviously not been serviced. The car wouldn't start after being parked for 3 days in the sweltering heat. The clutch was running too hot, but we had to get to the airport urgently. The car rental company came and said that everything was taken care of for us as we hadn't caused any damage, but that wasn't the case.
The car rental company subsequently forged a document and signed my name on it, saying that I had admitted the damage to the clutch and accepted payment for the damage!
The fully comprehensive insurance without deductible was not enough for us, because the clutch was excluded, although we did not break it anyway, but simply the car was never serviced! We were unlucky that the clutch was received by us and not half a day later by the next tenants.
Nobody was interested in the fake document! We lost over 800 euros in deposit and never got it back!!!!

"Heute in Neapel Auto abgeholt und…"
Heute in Neapel Auto abgeholt und plötzlich Visakarte funktionierte nicht, mich mit Santander in Verbindung gesetzt und erfahren das keine Anfrage angekommen ist, noch am Telefon mit Mitarbeiter sprechen lassen aber interessierte nicht. extra 250€ bezahlt um das Auto zu bekommen. Liegt vielleicht Methode vor??
