"Do not use Green Motion Kalamata"
Green Motion Kalamata advertises 3 pick up/drop off points - airport, port, downtown, with a shuttle bus service. I checked with GM customer services, (and Argus Car Hire) and was assured (I have the email) that we could be pick up at Kalamata bus station, simply by phoning the local office to arrange this. When I did this, the day before my booking, I was, rudely, told they wouldn't do this, and accused, essentially, of lying and altering my pick up to the airport, despite my voucher clearly showing downtown. I contacted GM customer services again, to be told they would contact the local operator, and revert. They have not done this. The local operator, in a subsequent call, told me to ring when I arrived in Kalamata and he would 'see what he could do'. He did nothing, leaving us with no option other than a 20 euro taxi ride (which was not reimbursed). He was brusque and unfriendly on arrival. On return of the car, he begrudgingly gave us a lift a couple of km back to our hotel.
The vehicle was ok, but I suspect the clutch was wearing out as there was little play left in it. The screenwash ran out after half a dozen squirts, and I was unable to discover how to open the bonnet as there was no obvious lever that I could see, and no vehicle handbook that would have helped.

"I have been scammed there"
I have been scammed there. I have been forced to buy an insurance of 170€, or loose my booking of 275€. The reason is they refused to charge the deposit on my Visa Debit card. Though, my booking voucher specifies which "Payment card" are approved for deposit, it did not specify "Credit card", and the Debit Card are not among the list of payment cards that are not accepted. Also, my Debit card has been used to charge a reduced deposit and the insurance, proving that it is an approved payment method (I could not pay these with a "not approved" payment method, right ? )
Additionally, the sales person tried to make us to pay for extra driver, while this was already paid at booking. They argued that we paid for the right of having a second driver, but not for their insurance. After I strongly opposed, they withdrew and accepted that the booking payment was enough.
Bonus : after all this stress and mess and scam, we waited almost half an hours to get to the desk (not enough personal), and an other 20min hour afterwards because the car was not ready. All in all, we could only leave with the car more than an hour after we arrived.
Scammers and unprofessional.

"Abholen und Abgeben in Agios Nikitas war problemlos"
Das Abholen und Abgeben in Agios Nikitas war problemlos. Der Zustand beim Abholen wurde sehr gut dokumentiert. Allerdings machte ich mir ein Foto vom dokumentierten Zustand selbst, um einen Nachweis zu haben. Dimitra am Schalter erklärte mir nochmal alle Mietbedingungen ausführlich und Tasos hat mir das Auto übergeben sowie auch angenommen. Das Auto (VW Polo) hatte schon einige Kratzer und Dellen, aber das war für mich kein Problem, da ja alles dokumentiert wurde. Dimitra und Tasos machten einen sehr professionellen Eindruck auf mich.

"Green Motion Kalamata - best avoided …"
We just had an unpleasant experience with this provider in Kalamata . We booked prior to leaving UK through Holiday Autos which we had used a number of times for car hire in Cyprus and we had always had good service . However, on this occasion their Kalamata partner , Green Motion, can only be described as dreadful. For a start the provider is not on the airport (as described at point of booking) but a short walk off the airport . The staff is rude to say the least and try their best to increase costs to ridiculous sums . We ended up without a car and certainly would advise visitors to Kalamata to go elsewhere .

"TOUT s'est très mal passé "
TOUT s'est très mal passé , il n'y a que l'encaissement pour la réservation qui s'est bien déroulé. Arrivés à l'agence, la personne de l'accueil vraiment très désagréable à refuser de nous laisser la voiture (motif : carte bancaire débit non valable malgré une autre présentation d'une carte bancaire conforme)
Beaucoup de peine à obtenir 1 Remboursement 3 semaines après. A fuir!!!!!!!

Attention, ils encaissent la caution à la prise du véhicule et ne la restituent que 3 mois et demi après au prix d'une très longue et pénible bataille ( 800€).

Mai più car jet!! Una cliente in meno. Gestito malissimo a Kardamena aereoporto da brutte pesome arroganti e maleducati soprattutto il Muscoloso!!!
Prenotato un auto e non ritirata perché la carta di credito non era del titolare della patente. Avevamo quella della moglie e del figlio e nuora ma nessuno di loro ha voluto saperne di cambiare il guidatore!!!!! Cambiate mestiere! Sono 10 anni che vengo a Kos e non mi è mai accaduto un fatto del genere!

"Follow up post Greenmotion Thessalonikis"
This is a follow up post for my post from August 7. It has been 3 months since the incident. I was falsely charged by the thessaloniki green motion station euros 693 for a light scratch that existed from before.
I asked the branch to
1) provide proof that scratch did not exist- no reply
2) provide new pictures that the money they took from was really used to fix the scrtach - no reply
I contacted the escalation team at the frnachiser in uk, and all i have been getting email replies that the case is still under investigation. They promised me last week after 7 emails that they will resolve it by end of last week.. guess what nothing!!!!
STAY AWAY from greenmotion thessaloniki at all costs. Just do not be a fool and read the below reviews of every single person who rent from there!!!
Update 9/10/2024: I can confirm that finally I was offered a refund and awaiting for it to hit my bank account. Will keep you posted and change my review rating after i receive the money.
