"Poor customer service post sale"
My experience of buying a car from this company was a very poor one and I personally will not be buying from them again. Essentially, the after sales service is extremely poor, and the feeling they left me with was that once they have your money, they are not interested in ensuring that you are a happy customer. In summary, there were a number of things that I wasn't happy with, including safety recalls not being dealt with by them pre-sale, a slow puncture (which definitely happened on their premises) not being recompensed without me having to fight for it and the list could go on. Overall, I wasn't totally happy with my purchase and asked whether an exchange could be an option (with me happy to take a small loss), however, other than me part exchanging the car I had just bought, no reasonable offer was made to ensure that they had a satisfied customer. Dealing with the Sales Manager was a very poor customer experience. On pushing the issue further, the Customer Service manager at least had an idea how to communicate with customers, but still no compromise was offered. Ultimately the experience post sales left a very bitter taste having paid out so much money. So, whilst their stock is plentiful and looks wonderfully glossy, I would personally look elsewhere if you value after sales service.

"Lied about reservation fee"
Last month I reserved a car from Saxton, it was an extended reservation period so a higher reservation fee was agreed, upon seeing the car there was a tear in the seat that would not be easily repairable, I decided to walk away under the guarantee I received that the reservation fee was fully refundable, I asked for a refund and was told that would be processed in the next 7 days. After a week I was called by Ali and told they would be taking a £299 admin fee as they could have sold the car in the time it was reserved? I told him I had been told it was fully refundable, and their own website policy states this, he said he would look into the conversations and get back to me. He never got back to me, I waited and emailed and tried calling but nobody was ever available, just got told I would receive a call back but never did. I’m 21, this is my first car buying experience independently, and I am now out of pocket £299. The whole experience has been stressful and dehumanising and I can’t believe Saxtons are allowed to treat potential customers this way. Really disappointed.

Luke R was my salesman and he did a fantastic job. He listened to what I wanted and provided a great service. There was a bit of a delay with the car which is why I have given 4 stars but Luke R kept me updated the whole time. I would highly recommend buying from Saxton 4x4 if you want a good product and customer service.
