Due to their mistake, I was promised a refund of 355.60 Euros because it turned out that the vehicle cost more than what they promised.
VehicleRent sent me an email saying that I will receive the refund in 90 days.
150 DAYS HAVE PASSED AND THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING TO MY EMAILS AND OF COURSE, THE MONEY HAS NOT BEEN TRANSFERED TO MY ACCOUNT.
Avoid that lying and scamming company at all cost.

A mistake in the Vehicle Rent car description turned out to be a high fee I was forced to pay when I got to the rent a car office. I contacted customer service to complain in August 2019 and admitted that they had made a mistake. They offered me a refund in maximum 30 days that has not been done yet. I am trying to chase this up with no luck, it is now radio silence from their side.
Never again with Vehicle Rent.

"Over 4 months and still no sight of my refund..."
I, like so many others, also submitted a claim under the Relax Package and Vehicle Rent confirmed on 1 August 2019 that I was entitled to a refund (GBP 1205). I have been waiting on my refund for over 4 months and still not received any money.... Since November they also stopped replying to all emails. Reading other reviews on here I am also starting to think that this company is a scam.
I will submit a complaint to the European Consumer Centre.

UPDATE 14/01/20
I can confirm that I have received the refund today - calculated based on the EUR-GBP exchange rate in August meaning that I still lost £80 as a result of the long delay (whilst I appreciate the T&Cs state that refunds are made in Euros what the T&Cs don't say is that it may take 4+ months to process the refund and any change in exchange rates during that time is not taken into account). At least I can say this company is not a scam, but have appalling processing times and terrible customer service.
I hope Vehicle Rent improve this going forward.

Ad agosto 2019 abbiamo noleggiato un'auto con pacchetto relax. La notte prima di partire abbiamo subito un danno da sconosciuti e abbiamo dovuto pagare 1.250€ per il danno alla compagnia di noleggio locale.
Ho inviato tutta la documentazione a Vehicle Rent e mi hanno risposto che mi avrebbero rimborsato entro 90 giorni la somma di 1.098€. Sono passati 112 giorni e non ho ricevuto assolutamente nulla. Ho inviato 4 mail e non rispondono più.
Una truffa!!!!

In August we purchased the "relax" package for our rental car. During the holiday we suffered damage which we had to pay in cash on delivery of the car.
To date, we have not received a refund from the insurance.
(1100€) !!!!!
There are many people in our condition, please report this to the postal police in your country and report it to European Consumer Assistance

"POSSIBLE SCAM - AVOID"
I have a similar issue as many others here. I have rented a car in Greece via Vehicle Rent and for piece of mind I bought "Relax Package" with super excess refund. Unfortunately I made some scratches and was charged for 300 euros.
When I got home I immediately made a claim. They answered that I was entitled for 300 euros refund and money transfer could take up to 90 days. After 30 days I wrote them again regarding my status. No response.
I waited another week and wrote them again. No response.
This was a week ago. After I saw another reviews here I am starting to believe, that this company is a scam. I don't understand why they don't respond to mails or why bank transfer should take 90 days. I would understand 5 days or so, but 90 days?!
Also I don't know how such company can still operate on the market. Such behavior is just unacceptable! This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life.
I plan to update my review every week, so you all can see how this case continues. Vehicle Rent, you have opportunity to make things right. I hope you will get reasonable and refund me ASAP.
I can't understand how anyone can have such insolence to call this product "Relax package". What I experience now is quite the opposite of relax.

2 weeks passed, no money refunded.
They just replied here with another useless generic BS reponse:
"As mentioned, we are currently working on a solution in order to issue your refund sooner than in the specified time frame that was provided to you by our claims department agent. Please be advised that we are doing do our best to provide you with a solution as soon as possible, but until then we kindly ask you for your understanding and patience."
After weeks of ignoring, they also sent me completely useless email response with apologies, that doesn't help at all:
"We are verifying your case with the accounting department regarding your refund. We assure you that we will do our best in this matter and we aim to resolve your case as soon as possible, nevertheless, we would like to inform you that it can take up to 90 days in order that the refund will be visible on your account, for which we sincerely apologize and thank you for your patience and understanding."
Dear Vehicle Rent, could you please explain to me, how a bank money transfer could take 90 days?! Also, according to reviews on trustpilot.com, there are MANY people who still haven't received refunds after those 90 days. So please stop replying with those useless BS answers and refund me ASAP. 2 months passed and I want my money back. I payed extra for relax package, so stop apologizing and do your job. Nobody is interested in you useless apologies anymore. Only relevant apology at this time is immediate money transfer into my bank account (which I have provided you 2 months ago).

3 weeks passed, almost 3 months passed since I made super excess refund claim. Yet no money has been transferred to my account and nobody from Vehicle Rent got in touch with me regarding that. They once again just left another useless apology here on trustpilot:
"We are aware that 90 days is a long time and we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. Please be advised that this is our standard procedure. However, as mentioned by our claims department agent, we are at the moment verifying with our accounting department the status of the refund. We will keep you updated of the situation in the shortest time possible."
This is obviously not true, cause according to trustpilot reviews there are many people who still haven't received their refund after 150 days or more. Vehicle Rent keeps telling me that they are working on my case, verifying it with accounting department (?!), prioritizing it, etc. They are just full of apologies, excuses and obvious lies. After 3 weeks since I wrote first review here, there is no progress in my case. I want my money and I want them now.

5 weeks passed since I wrote review here. 77 days since I was entitled for 300 euro refund and 97 days since I made official claim. Still, no money was transferred and there is no progress in my case.
Vehicle Rent replied once again here with another generic useless response, repeating themselves, but without any response to huge amount of people who still don't have their refund after 90 days or even more (In some cases it's over 150 days!!!):
"As mentioned in our previous communication the refund may take up to 90 days, one of our agent confirmed to you after study of your case that you are entitled to refund, this was confirmed on the 23rd September. We are still within the 90 days period of time that may take to issue the refund. We will kindly ask you for some more patience. Our claims department will keep you updated once we receive additional information."
They also wrote me an email with literally no useful information (just repeating themselves about 90 days period and that they are verifying my case (for 3 months now LOL) and wishing me lovely days (hint - just send me the money and I am sure my day will be lovely).
So quoting your last email: "we would like to inform you that it can take up to 90 days in order that the refund will be visible on your account":
It means, that you have only 13 days for refunding me. I hope you are aware of that.

Almost 2 months passed since I wrote review here. 86 days since I was entitled for 300 euros refund and 106 days since I made official claim. Still, no money was transferred and there is no progress in my case.
As always, Vehicle Rent only responded here with another useless apology and fairy tale about doing everything they can.
"In regards to the refund, we are doing everything we can, in order to guarantee the refund will be provided to you as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on the matter."
If that's true (don't think so), they have one of the worst customer services on the entire planet. More possible explanation is that they are just liars, scammers and dishonest people. I don't know how they can sleep at night. Vehicle Rent, you have only 4 days to keep what you promised. 4 days. Keep that in mind. If I don't have my money on December 22, all the people here will see that you were just lying all the time.

Almost 2 months passed since I wrote review here. 87 days since I was entitled for 300 euros refund and 107 days since I made official claim. Still, no money was transferred and there is no progress in my case.
Vehicle Rent doesn't event bother to reply anymore. But I hope they are aware, that their 90 days refund period ends in just 3 days on December 22 (cause I was entitled for refund on 23 September). And because December 21 and December 22 is a weekend, they have practically time until tomorrow. What do you think? Will they finally refund me? Cause according to them, they "are doing everything they can" for 3 months now.

90 days refund period ended and still no money was transferred into my bank account. What is your excuse now ? You had 90 (!!!) days to do that! Apparently, you we're just lying all the time. In my whole life I have never dealt with more dishonest company.

Vehicle Rent started ignoring me even here on trustpilot. I also sent couple of emails, but nobody responded. They just silently keep my money without any explanation.
I hope that now it's clear to everyone here that Vehicle Rent is just one big sophisticated scam. I already informed European Consumer Centre.

2 months passed since I wrote a review here. 101 days since I was entitled for 300 euros refund and 121days since I made official claim. Still, no money was transferred and there is no progress in my case.
Vehicle Rent started ignoring everyone here, on trustpilot. Their last reply is from December 24, 2019. Still, better than their usual apologies, promises and lies. As I said I have already informed European Consumer Centre and I got in touch with their lawyer. I also informed Skyscanner to let them know who they are promoting on their website. I recommend you all to do the same.

I confirm, that 2 days ago, I finally received full refund (almost 3 weeks after deadline). Still I don't trust this company and don't recommend anyone to deal with it. It's very suspicious, that they processed the refund right after I informed European Consumer Centre and their big business partner Skyscanner (which is btw a great company with excellent consumer service). Vehicle Rent haven't earned my trust, which is crucial to every business in a free market. It doesn't matter if they are really a scam or they have such awful service that it appear that way, I will never ever rent a car through their company and will share my experience with as many people as I can.

I would give them no stars at all but was no option for that, I have booked a an automatic car by them when I went to collect my car they refused to give me an automatic ,they said Vehicle Rent booked me a manual, after I have showed them all the booking documents Which is showing clearly I have booked and paid for an automatic car they said the information was not passed to Them ,and refused to give me the automatic one and made me pay an extra €105 to get an automatic one , spoke to Vehicle Rent they said they will refund me the extra money I paid, 4 months later still They have not paid me a penny, they are disgraceful I made about a 50 phone call and emails but no refund is made , I am considering taking a legal action against them

The staff here were so friendly and helpful. When we discovered the vehicle didnt have isofix points that I needed for my car seat, the staff went out of their way to find me another vehicle that suited. They were great.
