"If I could give 0 stars I would."

I am incredibly disappointed with the complete lack of support and communication I have received from wirecard.

I work in the cruise ship industry, so given the current COVID-19 pandemic, I am now currently out of work.

My problem stems from being unable to add a UK bank account to conduct a global wire transfer.
Initially I was locked out of my account and was told they were ‘unable to verify my access permissions, contact customer services’ (whatever that even means- it’s my account?)

A phone call (costing near on $32) which was a waste of my time, and 7 emails later, I am STILL awaiting any support from the company. I have received no case number.

The company has a duty of care to its customers, and never in my life have I been denied access to my own money and to further the frustration, denied the support to access it. I will be taking this issue further with my employer and I’ll be sure to express in as many ways as possible my complete astonishment at the company’s negligence.

"No Resolution for my Wirecard Issues"

It is really frustrating to wait and wait for a resolution for my Wirecard issue which was bought up since March 20 with several emails and 2 calls to customer service. I had also given my passport copy as instructed for verification.

My issues were very basic as I was unable to add another bank account for my global deposit transfer and I was not able to log in to the Wirecard website after the issue was reported.

I'm really disappointed and frustrated to wait this long for a resolution which I had never experienced before with any other banks.

This matter had really put me in a very stressful situation given the current Covid 19 pandemic where I am currently not working and in need to do an urgent transfer from my Wirecard for my family expenses.

Really hoping for a resolution soon.

"I have a wire card from ATT as a refund…"

I have a wire card from ATT as a refund balance on my account. Due to the Corona Virus I am unable to get access to it. Supposedly it had an expiration date. I need to know what balance I had to get the rest of medicine for this month.
I know it may not be much, but it is mine and I need it! I tried accessing their and it does not exist! What the devil???

"Terrible company"

Terrible company. The card got expired a few days due to lockdown at home, I can't go out for shopping. I don't do online shopping. I called the customer representative addressed this issue. They refused to re-issue me a new card despite the expiration was caused by COVID19 virus and we were locked down at home.

"Wirecard are a bunch of thieves!!"

I have a Wirecard from work for bonuses and it gets charged 3.00 a month when it isn’t used once a month. When contacting customer sevice they said that it is when not being used for 6 months. But they don’t tell you is once you use the 6 months it doesn't start over, you only get 6 months for a while for the life of the card. So half of the balance is gone for nothing. It’s not worth it to maintain a card once a month just to keep a balance. I will definitely never use this company for anything and make sure I let everyone know not to use them.

"This company is a total nightmare the…"

This company is a total nightmare the customer service is horrible and no one he's able to help you win that crappy web page goes down. The company I work for uses these card for payroll and trying to access my money has been an issue for months. I don't recommend anyone use this company.

"The Devil is in the Details. Less than 1 star if I could."

Absolutely terrible and borderline fraudulent business practices if you get a Mail In Rebate issued via Wirecard. I received one from a Corsair MIR promotion, and it's just been a pain in the *** to use.

A) You have to call in Wirecard to activate, and you will be on the phone for a long time. Customer service is absolute trash, but once you get through, your card is ready to go. Note that you can only get through to an agent to activate the card. Once activated, NO ONE responds to your calls.

B) The card itself is completely in USD, and they charge a "foreign currency transaction fee" that applies for anything outside the US. I'm in Canada, and that fee is actually equating to 4% because Wirecard is being fraudulent and hoping that people can't do simple math (surprise...I can!). So basically, while you should be getting $20 USD, you're actually getting $19.20 USD to use. Imagine that multiplied by 1000s of cards issued to get an idea of how much they're making on your "gift".

C) You must use up all the funds within 6 months of the card being issued, else you will get charged a card maintenance fee of $3.50 every month after the 6th month to slowly clear the card within a year of them issuing it.

D) The foreign exchange fee is applied as part of the settled cost, so the minute you use up some money, run the calculations on the conversion rates and check in every few days because they don't tell you the initial cost after it's settled. For example, I used up $20 CAD, which was 13.94 USD initially but the settled cost was 14.49 USD, thus meaning I got charged 4% for the transaction. From these calcs, you can backtrack and determine how much you can spend to account for their international fees. However, I have noticed that their rates seem to change daily now that I've used up the card. It seems like they're using the daily conversion rates versus a pre-set amount so your calculations can be off a few cents. Note that their conversion tables are not provided, nor do they tell you where to find them.

E) The card is only usable at some retailers. For example, it works at a local grocery store but not at a submarine sandwich shop nearby. Since when is this a thing? Just because it's is USD? Pathetic.

All companies using this service are screwing their customers over. And the worst part...because of certain gray areas in the law, they can't be stopped. I'm going to file a complaint.

Frustrated Customer

"This is the most bogus way to receive a…"

This is the most bogus way to receive a rebate that I have ever experienced. The website address is in such tiny print on the back of the card (and included NOWHERE in accompanying materials) that I needed a magnifying glass to read it. No matter, the website doesn’t work—upon registering my “wire card” I was promptly locked out, told to contact customer service and put on hold—I’m still holding due to “higher than normal call volumes” which I can completely understand! I just want to deposit the funds in my bank account so I don’t have to have any more association with this company. Because the rebate was for a Bryant furnace, I’ll be contacting that company as well to inform them of the incompetence.

"Expired Card"

I was issued debit card from my employer as a bonus. I had received it in the summer of 2019. They do have an expiration date and unfortunately mine had expired. I called to talk to a representative and they basically said the funds are zero because the card had expired. Seems like a pretty shady business practice, so beware what happens if your card expires.
