"I ordered the Magfast Hello package in…"

I ordered the Magfast Hello package in September of 2020.I later won a monthly $1,000 draw which provided a $500 Amazon Gift card and products and cables.

Partial delivery was after January, 2024 of the Hello package, and nothing else. A recent update detailed the failures of management to make wise decisions related to suppliers resulting in delays and wasted capital. So, the solution was to give me a 50% discount on products I already paid for 4 years ago, and on the products I won.

From my perspective, I now have to pay 50% more for products I already purchased and the products I won I will pay 50% of the going price.

I am profoundly disappointed in this company, their products, and their management.

I seriously doubt I will purchase from them again nor will I encourage others to purchase from them.

"CROOKS - ORDERED FIVE YEARS AGO - NO PRODUCTS"

I "pre-ordered" a product over FIVE YEARS ago (9/11/2019). Have NEVER received it... yet they continually upsell and take more and more orders. Bunch of freaking crooks...

"Complete scam"

Complete scam. Anyone Semour Segnit robbed with the thingcharger should love seeing the same p.o.s. rebranded magfast then for some reason never able to pass certification even though they promised thousands of them for free to people who watched their stupid pitch video. Breach of contract, Seymour.
Now the staff is all ThingCharger alumni (fraudsters) and they've given up on the generic chargers that they didn't design or invent, and have moved to a generic USB cable that they didnt design or invent, but charge a ton for. Anyone who dumps cash into these idiots laps through Netcapital, well I love to say I told ya so.... Their valuation of $41 Million? Come on now.... These are not genius level AI startup architects, they're online snake oil sales scammers selling you $2 Made in China USB cables for $57. How Segnit isn't in jail is beyond me, it takes a special kind of slimeball to fail the same business twice, and then keep milking 'investors'.

Edit: Thank for responding with complete lies, which are easily fact checked. Qi charging was not invented by Seymour. A quick reverse image search of your overpriced cables that have false reviews placed before delivery, driven by incentives shows that if seymour did design this cable (i beleive he didnt) then he should be getting rich off patent infringement cases instead of being the #1 fraudster on Netcapital (a quick read here shows it's the same trick you played twice on Kickstart - people get vouchers for vaporware.
You failed to acknowledge how the thingcharger was released, sold, was abandoned but still continued for sale on Amazon, but the Magfast Wall was endlessly held up in certification, given they're nearly identical? Promised too many free ones for some social media exposure? When you give someone a task to complete and it is completed you're in breach of contract if they go unpaid.

Seymours patents are almost for aesthetic designs, he decided what color the box existing tech goes into. The exception is the modular charger patent, but frankly I don't see how this was awarded given Apple owns U.S. Patent No. 7,517,222 from 2009.

Edit #2: They offered me their Lux usb cable for just the shipping cost of $7. After citing how quickly tech advances as the reason for their products going off the market before even being produced and delivered, again, it's strange that their only product is a vastly outdated USB 2.0 spec cable. This won't satisfy the current demands of new high end phones or tablets, you'd think Oxford would have taught ohm's law (i=v/r), i mean i learned it in high school, so seymour must have considered this while designing "the best usb cable in the world". I guess it does take a genius to get people to pay $37 for a 2m cable that costs $4.50 at the dollar store...

Edit 3 - Company acknowledges breach of contract and shows they alienate those who engage their offers. If it had spent money, would i have even gotten it back? The majority of the products you tried to get me to buy that day are vapor, and its quite clear that they were never actually planned. Fraud from the beginning, proof is in the patents and marketing, people dyor before giving them a cent on netcapital.
Claims that thingcharger was the most successful crowdfunded device ever at $700k or whatever it raised are irrelevant - what happened to the money? It was misappropriated at best, but really just pocketed and these guys are looking to do it again and again.

"If I could give a zero star I would"

If I could give a zero star I would. I have tried to get in contact with them and nothing. I made my order over 5 years ago. I got nothing from them but excuses. I want my money refunded. This is a poor business model that is failing. What is so bad is the fact that they keep on scamming people to invest in a failing business idea. Save time and money and buy else where.

"This is the worst company ever."

This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I spent a lot of money for their products inn 2019 and never received anything. When I tried to contact them, I was told that there were shipping delays. Five years later, I still have not received my shipment. This feels like a total scam.

"Moral Bankruptcy"

Nov 2024
Magfast defends their dishonesty by continuing to sow deception. Their claim that "Any customer whose preorder was not completely fulfilled is receiving voucher credits for double the full retail value of their unshipped products." is a bold faced lie. Infact, their voucher credits only cover half the cost of any given product/s I would be interested in. That I am being asked to accept a credit voucher (not a refund) of only 50% of the value of products I have already paid full price for, is unconscionable. The expectation that I would conceed to having my hard earned money be used by this company to avoid bankruptcy, is absurd. (FYI, in contrast, I don't expect to recoup the $2000 I originally invested in this company, because I was fully aware of the risks involved.)

Aug 2024
For all their marketing hype and 'transparency', it turns out the CEO and management team of Magfast LLC are simply dishonest. Their charger products are not only much more expensive compared to their competition, but also of inferior quality (at least in my experience of Life and Air)!
Furthermore, to avoid backruptcy, they cancelled production of already paid-for back orders and have refused refunds for products they never shipped. Instead, they are offering limited-time half-priced credits for overpriced products that I already have!!! So to recoup the hundreds of dollars I paid for no longer available products, I have to pay again for 50% of the cost of products I frankly dont want.

2022
I have not yet received my order, but if it is anything like the excellent customer service they've offered so far, I am confident the product will live up to expectations.

"The 1-star review was deleted"

I have to say, four years ago I gave this company a 1-star review, calling it a huge scam. Free samples with absolutely no idea of the shipping cost to the consumer, no shipping date, no address of the factory, no patent numbers, just a 4.8 Trustpilot rating hopped up on big smiles and a tree planted. Months passed. No free samples, no Magfast Pro kits, no Magfast Life, no nothing. Scam?

Four years later, well, I guess I guessed right. Kinda. Red Lux cables for 20 bucks more because they're...red? It's a scam for sure, but, a 4.1 Trustpilot rating is more "real" and "believable" than a 4.8 one was. They gave me a coupon for 75 bucks as a way of saying sorry for 4 years of false promises? Free shipping? Accurate shipping tracking? Real products? Well, ****. I'm sorry you didn't raise enough money for your own 75 million dollar electronics factory, CEO Seymour. But ****** you didn't run a scam on us. Enjoy your 5-star review.

"Very Satisfied!!"

Great customer service. Great products. Red and Lux cables - no better one out there. Great gifts. The difference in quality is obvious. Even sent me an extra USB-A adapter. Thank you!
