Terrible company. Avoid at all cost. Not able to fix but like to charge high prices. When questioned vindictively entered our safe for keys safekeeping and destroyed all the keys. Do not trust them . Do not let them into your home. Do not give them pin numbers to your key safe. There are many other good companies and they should stop trading as their engineers are useless.

I used PGS Services to carry out an EICR survey and they used one of their electrical contractors to carry out the work. The booking in / liaising with my tenant process was very smooth and they certainly sound friendly when you ring up.

However, not only was the initial cost just to identify what remedial work needed to be done extortionately expensive, the remedial work quoted was a complete rip off.

I appreciate it was a no-obligation quote but many people will not bother to get another one. In the end I used another electrician to do the work at 30% of the quote from PGS, and it turned out that PGS' electrician had in fact put issues on the form as "necessary" when they were in fact only "recommended".

Their electrician also claimed to be registered with NICEIC but they have no record of him and he was unable to produce any registration number.

PGS didn't seem concerned by the fact their contractor is lying to customers.

I wouldn't touch this firm with a barge pole again and would strongly recommend anyone thinking of using them, not to. The contractor you get may well be "luck of the draw" and you are paying a premium price so that these people are vetted, when in fact they clearly aren't.

I can't fault PGS, from start to finish their service was amazing. The plumber actually let me down on short notice but the customer service agent was fantastic, she was sympathtic and arranged a replacement for the same morning. The engineer's work and communication was second to none and I was very happy with her work. And I was even pleasantly surprised with the cost of it all!
