"Dec 2024 trip in Kyoto and Kanazawa"

Our agent Lan Lui was fantastic to work with from the beginning. She was efficient in setting up our itinerary despite our rush booking and multiple changes in the last minute. Our tour to Kyoto and Kanazawa was great with a wonderful guide assigned to us. There was a portion of trip which one of our family members had some mobility issues, UME travel arranged a taxi service for us at no additional charge. The tour turned out to be exactly how it was advertised.

Lan Lui was also great in the "after-sell" service. My husband left his ipad in the hotel in Kanazawa and she jumped in right away to help contacting the hotel staff and successfully in retrieving the item. She was attentive during the entire retrieval process.

This review is in regards to Amber in Ume Travel. We had a previous experience with her with a tour in Japan, which was great in all respects. Then I had the need for a business trip in China, where I had no idea how to do it, since the suppliers we had to visit were so far away from each other. She fixed the complete schedule, including the route, hotels, trains, cars, drivers who were gentle, always on time and willing to get out of the way to accomodate us. The hotels she chose were up to our expectations and one of them even better. I highly recommend Amber, who was always at hand during the whole trip.5☆

We just completed 4 days in Beijing with our guide and new friend Jiang. It was a comprehensive tour that hit all the highlights: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, The Summer Palace and more but the crown jewel was the Great Wall, a stunning sight to be sure. Highly recommended.

"40th Anniversary Celebration "

My wife and I took an 9 day guided tour of Japan to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Our time in Japan has been wonderful. The days were packed with site seeing, food, and fun. Both guides (Aiden and Demi) were fantastic and went the extra distance to make sure we had plenty to do and an enjoyable experience. We are very pleased with the services of UME, starting with Amber who booked our trip. Amber was fantastic, very responsive, and took a personal interest in ensuring our desires were met. Thanks to all involved in making this a great experience for my wife and I…it truly was the best way for us to start our anniversary celebration! Thank you Amber, Aiden, Demi and all the UME family. I’m almost positive we’ll be back again soon.

"A wonderful Southeast Asia experience."

We love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit many places in the world. We sometimes will utilize group tour companies. This is the first time that we utilized a private tour company. I found UME Travel and other companies on line. I did my own research, both of tours and companies. Several companies provided me with wonderful itineraries based on our requests. Out of all of them, we decided to go with Ivan of UME travel. We had started with an itinerary only for Thailand, but then through many adjustments and his plan iterations, we expanded our plan to not only cover Phukett, Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand, but to also include Bali and Singapore. I contacted Ivan often with questions, concerns, additions and changes before we reached the final itinerary. Ivan was extremely prompt and helpful with each email or WhatsApp contact. As you can imagine this became a very complicated itinerary with all airport and hotel transfers, inter-country flights, tours, etc. I was greatly relieved to have that all coordinated by one very competent individual, Ivan. Not only was our itinerary extremely well thought out and planned, but Ivan also monitored and made himself available as needed throughout the entire trip. Along the way, we contacted Ivan to make a few adjustments. He responded very promptly and with outcomes to our satisfaction and appreciation. This truly eliminated the stresses that you can encounter when traveling in very large cities that you are not familiar with, and where you do not speak the language. Each of our local tour guides and drivers did a fabulous job getting us everywhere in a timely, safe and comfortable manner. We’d like to extend a big thank you to all of them. Ivan secured all top notch local tour companies, tour guides and drivers.The tour guides included: Ms. Julie and Ms. Kai in Phukett, Mr. Ekachai and Mr. Pijit (PJ) in Chiang Mai, Ms.Ying in Bangkok, Ms. Eka in Bali, and Mr. Aden (driver/guide) in Singapore. They provided great insight into the historical, natural and everyday highlights of their cities and countries. Again, all of our drivers were excellent, but I do not have the spelling of their names to add here.

Overall, we are very grateful to Ivan and the entire team he selected for a truly positive and fabulous experience in Southeast Asia. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Ivan and UME travel. We would not hesitate to utilize Ivan or UME Travel again in the future.
