Valspar Paint

"Literally the most useless paint I've…"
Literally the most useless paint I've ever used, bought the premium bathroom paint from b&q, prepped the walls before hand, but it literally just scratches off with the slightest touch, will most probably have to rub it all off and buy another brand that works, absolute shocking experience.

"Poor quality and watery"
Got talked into buying Valspar at B&Q, biggest mistake we made. We bought their tough walls and ceilings in brilliant white in 5L. The quality of the paint is so poor, it’s water and is not tough at all.
We have a small stairway and will be lucky to get it done with the 5L as it will need multiple coats.
Will have to buy a better quality paint to go unfortunately.
Biggest waste of time and money

"Don't buy, marks so easily"
We have used Valspar paint in the past as the colour choice is great. But we will no longer be using it. We have recently repainted our dinning room as the premium Matt paint we used made the walls look like they were silk rather than matt. Due to this my husband spent ages sanded down the walls. We repainted using classic instead of premium as we were told that this paint would still be durable and wipeable but has more of a Matt chalky finish, which is exactly what we wanted. The colour is beautiful, but within 3 days every single wall had a mark!!! We have no kids or pets, so don't understand how the paint has marked so easily. Even after a couple of weeks, the walls are still marking. We are having to continuously touch up the walls. We will never be using valspar again, such a waste of time.

"Bought a tester pot for masonry paint…"
Bought a tester pot for masonry paint put some on my Garage wall looked really good. Then purchased 10 litres put in on the wall thought at first it was very watery, I have taken a picture of where I painted the tester and where I have put on the rest of the paint Question for Valspar why is the tester pot 100% better than the full pot the difference in consistency is far thicker in the tester. Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this waste of money.

"The paint bubbles and flakes off back…"
The paint bubbles and flakes off back to the original colour. It also peels off very easily so you cannot use tape with it. It has also taken 4 coats and we have had to sand the bubbles down and re coat.

"Terrible coverage, 4 coats and counting…"
We bought 5L Valspar Premium walls and ceilings Silk from B&Q to paint our freshly re-plastered and primed living room. After 3 coats the walls are still blotchy and not fully covered, we have had to buy another tin to try a 4th coat but we cannot get it to look even and covered. It is a dark colour too so we won’t be able to cover it with a different paint.
Very disappointed as this paint was quite expensive and supposedly premium quality. Would not recommend this brand at all.

" valspar trade acrylic wood and…"
Brought valspar trade acrylic wood and metal to repaint my door, frames and skirting board… really disappointed. Really watery, needs multiple coats abd constantly runs no matter how much you use. I’ve had sand everything back and start again.

"Valspar paint"
I recently brought 10 litres of a mixed colour from B&Q. Took 4 coats to get a solid colour with each coat blistering in different areas each time. Some have dried down but walls arel left with wrinkled paint while others remain as blisters. If you burst the blister the paint peels off back to the original surface. Complete waste of money, time and effort. Will NEVER purchase again and will advise any customer at the B&Q paint desk to internet search reviews on the paint before purchasing!! Extremely dissapointed 😞

"This is the second time I have used…"
This is the second time I have used valspar paint and had no issues at all. I usually use Dulux but on this occasion they couldn't match the colour I needed and Valspar could. I used a really light colour painting over white so it only took one coat. It went on fine and looks really good.

"Awful paint"
Awful paint. It doesn't seem to stick to the wall- just peels off. Really weird rubbery consistency. I'm gutted as the colour is lovely but just looks so messy. Would never buy again
