Bought a 5L tub for £52 and when I started putting it on I thought this doesn’t look right but I told myself it will dry in ok boy was I wrong. I wish I could upload a picture to show how ridiculously bad this paint is, when it was dried it was 3 different colours was supposed to be navy but majority of it looked turquoise. I returned it to b&q when the manager told me a warning shows up saying it required 3/4 coats that they conveniently don’t tell the customer because if you told the customer they need to do 4 coats of paint they’d more than likely tell you to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine on top of that 1 5L tub wouldn’t even be enough to paint 1 room 4 times, was planning on completing the painting over the weekend not to have to take a week off work to paint 1 room. Ridiculously s**t paint stay well clear!

Bought 10L of valspar premium masonary paint which I had mixed into my preferred colour and b and q
The consistency was very watery making it splash everywhere. (Quite difficult to mask everything off outdoors!)
I’ve never used a masonary paint like this and returned it for a refund. I got a dulux mixed up it the same colour and it is a lot thicker making it easier to apply.

Well I really wish I’d read these reviews before purchasing.

Currently renovating and have painted 3 rooms with Valspar paint and also used the wood paint.

I didn’t have too much trouble with coverage but when the sockets and switches were put on, the paint chips off! The slightest touch, this paint just flakes off and you can’t even begin to consider using tape for cutting in etc as the paint just peels off!

The wood paint, this separates! Mixed it with a paddle attached to a drill. Within seconds, it’s like it’s splitting. Had to continuously mix even the V&CO.
The trade wood paint seemed better and more durable.

I’ve now got 3 rooms which I painted before carpet was laid, that I now have to repaint. These are big rooms son it’s going by to take me considerable time and this paint was not cheap. I’ve wasted a fortune. Very disheartening.

B&Q denied any reports of similar issues.

"Terrible paint and waste of money and effort."

I purchased the valspar interior wood and metal satin paint in the mixed colour. After so much research because I wanted a really durable paint for our stair banisters and I couldn't find the colour we were happy with. Spent more on this paint type as I assumed it's durable instead I regretted it within a week. I sanded and prepped the area so well and even put the recommended undercoat for priming but nothing worked. Even areas without primer the same thing happened. The paint scuffs off and peels so easily to the point it looked undone within 2 week. This paint is not cheap so I was really dissapointed with the quality when I paid more for this specific reason. I would avoid because its a mixed paint I couldn't even get a refund. It was so bad that I had to repaint again within 2 months and representation the surface and I've had the same experience. It's all scuffed and very terrible looking. I would attach pictures if I could.

Bought V&CO a few weeks ago. Compared to Dulux Heritage, found it similar in every way. Bought second 5l tin recently and again no issues. The coverage is superb. Applied on coat on a white surface.
I am stunned with the reviews.

Should be 0stars! I don’t see how B&Q can sell this paint as a premium paint. Very patchy, having to do 3 or 4 coats. Left it for a week, put frog tape on to cut in other wall. After removing the tape. The paint peeled off like dried PVA glue. Very unsatisfied

Awful, watery paint. Like using children’s paint. Three coats in and very patchy, feels chalky and not at all durable.
A lot of time wasted prepping and applying. Do not buy this paint!

"Terrible paint"

Terrible paint! I wished I’d read these reviews prior to purchasing as I’d have bought an alternative brand. Like others, I’ve previously been pleased with the results of Valspar premium paint from B&Q, but the quality and coverage of this product is just not the same. I am on my 4th coat and the results so far are patchy and uneven.
