"Colour nowhere near the original paint"

My professional decorator took a sample of navy blue paint for matching. The original mix was obviously way off so he asked them to try again. He accepted the view of the B&Q staff that it would 'dry to the right colour' - he would be refunded if it did not. It did not and was in fact nowhere near the same colour - not even close. He was then refused a refund! I am left with a useless pot of grey paint to dispose of! I would not recommend this service or B&Q Plymouth.

Absolutely appalling paint! 2 days spent properly prepping the wales, for the first coat it be so Patchy, like there was no paint on at all. Second coat, paint starts bubbling and peels off. DO NOT BUY.

As seems to be the common theme with these reviews, I purchased a 2.5l tin of Arctic Fox-coloured emulsion from B&Q to paint our small home office and have now had to use four coats of paint on each wall and the finish is still patchy/uneven and showing up the very pale blue previous coat underneath.

I am reluctant to buy further Valspar paint to finish the job (as I have now run out of paint) but feel like I have no other choice which is deeply frustrating.

Worst paint I've ever used started cracking so thought maybe it was the primer/stain blocker I used to cover a weird oil painting i found under the crack paper so sanded it all back brought a new top quilty base coat then painted and and it cracked again and still took two coats to cover white? Absolute con and waste of money

Pathetic, poor coverage, marks easily, doesn't adhere to anything even when properly primed and keyed. This stuff is terrible.

"Poor Quality and Waste of Time"

We bought a tin of this mix your own Valspar paint from BNQ, however for one small toilet room is took me around 3 coats to get it covered fully , and even now it looks patchy and uneven. I was told in BNQ it was durable and wipe down, however it just seems water and easily scuffed. It took me ages to paint with it and now after finding these reviews I can see I’m not alone. I will be trying to contact BnQ for a return with a very poor quality product.
