"This is very low quality paint"

This is very low quality paint. I am extremely disappointed with the results after two coats of paint on a wall which started with a white primer. Maybe more coats will fix the issue, but I am reluctant to buy any more from Valspar. Not only did I waste money on buying their paint, I have wasted several evenings preparing and painting my room. Do yourself a favour and check the reviews before buying.

"Very poor quality watery paint"

The colour match is completely different. I chose the frosted blueberry (supposed to be very pale blue) but it turns out to be lilac. The paint is also very watery and kept dripping and doesn’t cover the bottom white layer. Very expensive poor quality paint. Very disappointing from B&Q and should’ve checked out the reviews before getting this. Avoid.

"Completely inaccurate colour match"

We went to B&Q today and asked for two tester pots to be colour matched to the colours in a Farrow and Ball chart. Instead of scanning the colours in the Farrow and Ball chart to match them, they just typed the Farrow and Ball names into the computer and created the pots from there. Having tried the colours at home, they are nothing like the colours that we asked them to match! The colour match service claims to be 99-100% accurate but the shades are so different. Really disappointed with this and can’t believe we wasted £8.50 on two testers that are nothing like the colours we wanted! If they are going to produce ready made colours from the computer, they should at least ensure they are accurate. Total waste of time and money.

If I could give a zero star review I would. I purchased a satin wood and an emulsion both products are not fit for purpose I have spent six days painting skirting boards and wood work then applied masking tape to do cutting in on walls and have removed masking tape to find all the valspar paint on skirting boards has come away with the tape. To say I am furious is an understatement I now have to go out and by dulux as I know it is reliable and redo all again. I’m disgusted that B&Q assured me this was better than dulux and because I wanted specific colours made up I trusted them and went with it. DO NOT BUY THIS PAINT!!

"Rubbish expensive paint"

B ana Q and Valspar should be sued and giving out compensation for this terrible paint . Have used the premium mid Sheen for walls and ceilings . It is a large wall . The coverage is terrible . Had 3 coats and still patchy and now it’s bubbling leaving the look a mess . I’m furious as the whole wall will need sanding and re-done . The price is expensive at £52 for a 5 litre . Wish I’d done research on it first . Rubbish

"Disappointing"

Disappointing, brought paint for two bedrooms and additinal paint for our cupboards. The paint turned out patchy after the first coat, had to paint several times and still not happy with the outcome. Our cupboards came out cracked and patchy despite us prepping the cupboard before painting. Waste of money 😔 we should have read the reviews before purchasing.

"Their customer service is extremely…"

Their customer service is extremely poor. I purchased ten samples to be sent on December 20th, and I have not received the package from them yet. After emailing them to inquire about the delivery, I have not received any response from them. Today, I called their provided number, but they informed me that it is only for technical advice. They gave me another number, but it turned out to be the wrong department. This process repeated as they provided me with another number, and I am still unable to get through to them. This has been a frustrating and unproductive cycle.

At this point, I have given up and will soon request a refund. Dealing with this company has been a joke, and it is incredibly challenging to reach them. I strongly advise against choosing this company.

"Valspar Premium. AVOID!!"

Valspar premium mixed at b&q (deep sea dive). Two coats on my ceiling and the previous white is STILL showing through.

Not good enough Valspar!! I have more to go on the walls but have no confidence that it will go on any better. Giving serious thought to getting it refunded .

I should have finished the ceiling today but it’s now going to be another day!!!

"Don’t buy this paint"

Wish I had read reviews before buying this paint. Spent more for the trade paint as painting my bedroom orange and thought it would give better coverage but the coverage on this paint is awful. 4 coats and it’s still super patchy and awful. £100 wasted. Gutted because I’ve also bought paint for my bathroom which I now know will be a complete waste too. These should be withdrawn from sale.

"If you like painting over and over..."

Took 5 coats of a coloured paint to cover previous magnolia paint. Terrible. Never ever again.
