"Mark good, other guy bad."

Mark who I spoke with was great. However there is another man who has called me a few times and he has a horrifically condescending attitude. Wouldn't use this company again just purely on the fact of him. I dunno what his name was however.

"Stay well away is my advice"

Stay well away is my advice. TCFC sold the remaining balance of finance to GCC which was 5 payments missed 2 with being in hospital. GCC were going to collect vehicle even though never missed a payment. Car cost me 10k to buy with another 10k interest on top.So paid 18k off finance to be threatened they wanted vehicle back and the outstanding balance. So would not advise anyone to touch this Company. It seems that the TCFC are selling off debts as usual for half of the amount owed so GCC whoever they are will also be making a fortune out of everyone's downfall. 2 Companies who get rich on the expense of the human race .

"Nothing bad to say ."

Our first dealings with CFC was to buy a small car from there car sales place in Portsmouth ( the world of cars )
As with all thease finance companies for bad credit , the cars are prolly sourced from auction or part ex from nearby dealers , ours was a mobike swimming pool and smelt like my damp dog .
After 4 months we handed the car back and that was that .
I thaught I could not get another car through them , but after 5 months found a car from a dealer who is FCA registered. And started a new agreement with them .everthing fine and dandy .
As time went on we decided it was not for us .
So we had the car taken back , the man who came to collect was very professional.
My dealings with CFC have been very helpful and understanding, and my pass time codes always arrived on time .
So now to new name ? Just want to know if I am to pay the outstanding amount dose this show on my credit file as being satisfied or not .maybe someone can let me know .

"Disgusting company not helpful at all…"

Disgusting company not helpful at all in times of trouble i was robbed and my partners van was stolen by a group of local hooligans and my new car keys were also stolen. I told the car finance company i wsnted to change car as i was 8 months pregnant and wouldn't feel safe knowing local joy riders had a key to my car. They basically said too bad not my problem i offered to give crime reference numbers from the police they still didnt care. I gave the car back to the dealership and expected it to be over with only to log into transunion and see this on my credit file. Ive contacted the financial ombudsman and have been advised this is malpractice. And i should follow your complaint procedure so hopefully this is resolved swiftly. I am now in a much better financial position and will take you all to court if need be.

"I'm confused"

I'm confused, I have been trying to contact The Car Finance Company and I have only been able to get through t a company called GCC Servicing who advised me that the CFC are no longer in operation and that GCC Servicing wrote to me back in 2017 at my old address but did not use my email address which correspondence was normally sent.
The car I had withn them was written off in 2016 and my insurance paid out the value of the car to CFC but they claimed there was an outstanding balance.
I offered to pay a one off lump sum of 50% of the remaining balance knowing that most of the outstanding debt would be interest added on and was told the payment would be accepted but there would still be an outstanding balance registered on my credit file and they would not be willing to register the debt as satisfied unless I pay the debt in full.
Is CFC still in operation or have they sold this debt to GCC Servicing who are apparently a branch of Go Car Credit.??

"Keeping your credit score low."

Bought a car on finance for the wife after she passed her test. Car was written off 6 months later. After insurance paid a lump sum there was about £800 remaining. Phoned and ask if I could pay that off by leaving the direct debit in place. Woman on phone was very nice and agreed that would be ok as only about 6 payments and only 6 months into a 3 year agreement. No payments missed or late but just before last payment credit score showed my account was in default. Phoned again they said it wasn't showing on their system. Think they do it just to keep your credit score low so you have to keep going to high interest companies like these. It's still showing adult 2 years later despite raising a dispute through the credit score company.

"Avoid, Avoid, Avoid Terrible Company/Staff"

Shocking company, Rude staff, could not give a toss about its customers. After paying off nearly £9800 off my car and only having 5 payments remaining, i rang to ask if i could pay £50 per week and the outstanding at the end of the month, Which i thought would be no big deal. But guess what, i was told no and would have to pay £73 per week or the car was at risk of being immobilised and at risk of repossession. I am up to date with payments and have been all the way through. I have recently lost my job and weekly income has took a hit. Louise the CFC rep had me on hold for what seems a life time and was quite abrupt. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Disgusting company, horrid staff. Thankfully only 5 month left to deal with these.

"Thank you for giving me the ability to buy a car!"

After reading most of the comments, Let me begin by saying 'go through a reputable dealer to choose your car'. Finance companies require dealers to have certain 'roadworthy' conditions in place before allocating a loan against any of the dealers cars. If cars break down after purchasing, it's not the finance company that's responsible. They are just providing the means to buy a vehicle. It's a dealer issue. It's not easy to get a car with a guarantee to last your term of repayments. If your credit rating is superb then choose a different COMPANY for a new model with a lower APR. That way you have a few warranty benefits. Everyone knows that 'poor or average credit' results in a higher APR for loans. I've just paid nearly £14k over 4 years but this was the only option to get a decent car as my credit was very bad due to a divorce. I don't think my credit has improved much at all but, hey ho, it's life. Bad decisions. My baby has now sadly broke down after I paid my last installment. Fate or coincidence? Anyway. I am extremely happy with the service I received throughout my contract. I had a few hiccups through the term but, come on, anything can happen in a space of 4 years with being a single parent of 2 under 16s and a 21 year old disabled son. So, every time I phoned when I ran into difficulty, and I did, like 70% of the UK population at the moment, my worries were eased with brand new payment arrangements and a new code. I learned that if I ever did run into trouble, always have an income and expenditure handy before phoning as missed payments need to be added on to existing ones if you can't pay the missed amount in full. And you need to be able to afford it. (extra £20 on top etc) Obviously the missed payments were spread out to be affordable. Using the payment portal was great! Easy. Always got the codes automatically. I only ran into one issue. I used the portal once and they took another a week later. I forgot I didn't ring them to tell them I'd paid. It was refunded instantly. I panicked at the end. With only 2 payments left I was hospitalised twice. My payment wasn't taken. I realised this after I got around to opening my post. Lots of letters and a scary 'repossession' letter. So I rang them. She proceeded to tell me i needed to do another income and expenditure but, as money was sitting there from the previous month I offered to pay it off in full as I was 2 weeks over the agreement ending and I had the regular payments sitting in my bank ready to pay anyway. Its their policy to ask reasons why you haven't paid as they have to write it on your agreement. (mine probably had many reasons throughout the term but all were unavoidable). My daughter was attacked and had major surgery so finances were out of balance. They understood this and offered services to help deal with the financial struggle in this situation. Impressive! Anyway I paid in full. I received a reset code as my battery was dead and the normal code. They arranged the removal and also gave me the number of the company in case they were not in touch within a week. They did get in touch and my car is all clear. All mine. Just doesn't work! Oh dear. I'm now hoping they accept me again. I went through stoneacre so I'm going to them again. No problem with their car at all when I bought it just my own fault for not keeping my car in tip top condition through 4 years. My advice, always telephone them the minute you realise you can't afford the payment that month. They will do their upmost to help. The last thing finance companies want is to take the car off you, it's more hassle than it's worth unless you have proven not to be able to afford it. I can't stress enough, if you have bad credit, you will pay a higher interest with ANY company and go with a REPUTABLE car dealer that has done roadworthy and engine checks and a service , NOT a small forecourt. In regard to device removal, they give you the number to contact yourself if they don't turn up as its a third party company that fit them and remove them. If it doesn't get removed ring and ask for the number or contact them yourself if you already have it. Thank you TCFC. I hope you consider me again as I'd rather pay for a newer vehicle than pay to get my car back on the road. Your my only hope to get back behind the wheel! Lol.
