Been very ill therefore been paying reduced payments kept them informed all the way through and they were very helpful . I go back to work and miss date of payment due to not being paid myself they now going to reposess the car even though i have explained the situation and can pay within two days . They have now lost me my job as i live in a rural local disabled and cant get to work . I am so disapointed in them when i could have easily caught up and have never not paid them

Terrible experience, one full year after having my car, completely unable to tax it.... Never been registered keeper, finance company aren't registered as the owners of the vehicle. No help to resolve issue.
Also wont repossess the car.
Untaxed car is now sat waiting to be scrapped by the council.

Funded a car that was sold with no DPF. The financial ombudsman advised them to reject the car and cancel the agreement but this arrogant company feel it right to ignore them. Having to go to the expense of court while still paying this arrogant, ignorant lot.

We brought a car through northumbria car sales 3 years ago with using TCFC as the finance company.
I have read a lot of negative reviews regarding this company however we have never had any problems with the finance company what so ever.
As a finance company they have been faultless, yes you sometimes wait a long time to get in touch with them, but we have always been spoken to with respect and kindness.
Our only fault with the company, is that we have never missed a payment, and indeed always paid on standing order every 28 days, but as a returning client wishing to take another contract, you only get 10% OFF, which is very disappointing, as your still going to pay 40.3% APR.
As a feedback message to TCFC, if this was a much better rate we would have come back, as it is, were now looking else where.

Have purchased a car privately last year 2017 in October, without being aware that actually the car has outstanding finance.
Once I have discovered after i have purchased and the previous owner disappeared it start the nightmare with The Car Finance Company,
I have tried to get in contact with them explaining everything how it happened, they said that i am an innocent buyer and will need to fill a form with all details required,
Done this and had no replays. tried to case them again just to find out that the information wasn't enough and they will come to recover the car.
Well long story, and loads of emails, sent to the recovery agents which they seems to be clueless, without knowing what they say or how they need to deal with.
Totally unprofessional manner, and disrespect this is what i had so far, the car couldn't be removed from my private premises as they are fully aware even they send twice the recovery guy, WHICH EVEN HIM CONFIRMED THAT THEY CANNOT REMOVE THE CAR FORM MY PRIVATE PREMISES WITHOUT A COURT ORDER.
After months of going back and forward with those ( i don't know how to name them ) have nothing clear.
Don't replay withe automatic replay ( contact our complains department as i have already did and since February nobody answer it )
I am now prepared with all the evidence to take this matter in front of the court as this has to go to an end, this is the poorest customer service i've ever seen so far,
BTW today the 7th of may 2018, i have sent you another email and i am expecting a clear answer within 7 days, other wise this matter as i said will be in the court.
To me your company should be closed down, due to unprofessional, look at all those people complaining about.

I bought a car through this cmpany as part of a plan to rebuild my credit rating. I have had the car almost 2 years & paid every single payment on time I have since found out to my absolute dismay that these payments do not show on your credit file so To sum up i have wasted 2 years paying over inflated prices for it not be be having any positive effect on my credit! Im sorry but i would never deal with the company the sales guys are not remotley interested in the customer all they care about was picking up the comission on the sale of the car & one of them actually told me as much to my face! Thankfully by the end of this week i will no longer have to deal with this joke of a company ever again to say im extremley dissapointed at what I have learned is an understatment. Absolute sham!

Non removal of device
I paid my car in full over 2 months ago, I have since bought a new car and sold my car to a friend. I have had no contact about the removal of the device in the car. Every month the device still beeps despite the car being fully paid and not belonging to Car Finance Company. I have sent multiple emails and have called multiple times and always get told someone will contact me, which they don’t!! I am now going to contact the ombudsman and seek legal advice. Terrible customer service, and shocking that as a company they do not even respond to emails at all. Avoid at all costs!!!

"Harassed for debts that aren't even ours!"
Just to be clear from the outset, I am not, nor ever have been a customer of The Car Finance Company however, unfortunately, have had around 2 years of dealing with them.
As a tenant, we received a lot of letters for the previous tenants, and it was apparent that many of them were from credit companies. We returned all mail for the first 9 months, then began opening letters and contacting the companies with a view to preventing fraud.
Despite contacting The Car Finance Company on numerous occasions via phone, letter and email, they have refused to update their records - on one email they said that they can't do that unless the customer contacts them with their new address!
The company have continued to pursue the debt at our address to the point that they keep threatening to send 'authorised agents' to visit, and this has been since December. Although no agents have yet called, this is obviously causing a great deal of anxiety and stress - especially to my wife who has been off work sick for nearly a year.
I've sent further letters (which were signed for upon delivery) which have been ignored, and their actions definitely fall under harassment.
I am now at the point that I will be contacting the Financial Ombudsman filing a complaint.
