"Shocking experience"

Recommended through mortgage broker and had it set up. Got the renewal documents and only happen to spot a slight mistake in date of birth. Easy to miss and clearly I had done so when policy first set up. An extra digit had been added, but year and month was correct. Got them to make the amendment and the renewal suddenly jumped by over £800!!! Advisor claimed there was nothing they could do…..

Found another insurer, much more coverage, for a tenth of the new quote I got from Paymentshield. Then they actually wanted to know why I was not renewing with them.
