"Excellent customer support"
We purchased a Solidor door in 2022 which we were very pleased with, however recently the door handle broke and we contacted the company who supplied and fitted the door to be informed that they were no longer trading and therefore we couldn't obtain a replacement handle under warranty and we would have to buy a new one. We contacted Solidor and explained our situation and they offered to honour the warranty and arranged to send us a replacement door handle free of charge.

UPDATED REVIEW
Following our initial 1 star review we have been contacted by Solidor representatives and have had an excellent response in respect of our door and its installation.
The "Surveyor" made a home visit and has prepared a report which highlights "fixing/installation" but we are not party to the full report.
The "Surveyor" initially made no negative or positive comments and was/is extremely professional throughout the visit.
On leaving he witnessed/experienced the struggle of closing the door & looking the door and subsequent reopening.
Approximately 20 minutes later he returned to our home and expressed his concern regarding our safety in leaving our home in an emergency - (something that we had not considered) and asked that he may review and make adjustments to the door and looking system.
After around an hour I was asked to review and operate the door and what a difference !!
We have been using the door on a regular basis some thing that we were not able to do.
We under stand that Solidor have made contact with Camberley Glass & Windows to arrange for the remedial works & we have offered access for their "Surveyor" to supervise and review / sign of the installation.
We have not deleted the original review which can be read below -

The date of installation was 29/07/2021.
It was not a good installation & CGWC refused to accept the facts
Incorrect survey measurements taken by thier sales representative.
Poor quality inspection from manufacturer delivery - see comment on degassing.
Poor installation and CGWC blamed client for short fall by surveyor!
By Mid August 2021 the door could not be operated without force on the handles
CGWC returned (Ron) who realigned the lock receiver plate, when my wife asked why this was necessary his response was " the door is twisted or warped but will resolve itself" & provided a sketch stating it was in tolerance.
It never did and is still warped / twisted.
Research suggests that poor degassing of the door is the likely culprit and the locking mechanism during manufacture was/is defective or has become such due to the aforementioned.
Camberley Glass & Windows refused to acknowledge anything or repair, replace or discuss.
"THE ISSUE IS WITH SOLIDORS PRODUCT (CGWC)"
Here we are January 2024 and still stuck with using the back door as we cannot guarantee that we can open it on return.
Consider very carefully before you by a Solidor Products.
We have invested £2200 and have lost everything as we will have to replace it at a similar if not greater cost.

I am very happy with the 2 Solidor doors I have just had fitted.
Unfortunately I caused a small scratch on my front door.
I emailed Solidor and got a very quick response. 4 days later DHL have just delivered a small ‘touch up’ pot of colour matched paint

"Solidor are our number 1 composite door…"
Solidor are our number 1 composite door supplier! Solidor are the best quality doors we have ever used. They rarely have any issues, super quick lead times, always arrive on time and the aftercare is impeccable! Our area manager Karl is always on hand if we need him and we have a great customer/supplier relationship. Solidor make us feel like their number 1 priority and ask for our opinion all the time - and even better than that, they actually listen to us and make changes to better themselves following our feedback.

"Purchased a door from them when windows…"
Purchased a door from them when windows upgraded in 2012. Came with a 10 yr warranty. Installation company closed during pandemic. Last year bottom of door started splitting from main carcass. Now out of warranty and wrote asking for help and support. Got short shrift say ‘ out of warranty so any replacement etc would be chargeable’ no help given . Seems they just don’t want to know or help. Would not buy again.
LATER - A solution was offered by offering a replacement door at cost, but without fitting. Did not take this offer up though. Alternative solution being sought

We are a small business that use Solidor for all our composite doors, we have very few issues with the door slabs but any issues have been dealt with satisfactorily. If the doors are not fitted correctly this can cause issues so have to fitted by competent fitters.
We used resin core doors many years ago but since moving over to solidor would now not revert back, I am happy with the quality of solidor composite doors.

"Warranty"
My last replacement new front door was fitted in 2017. This was the 2nd replacement as the coating was prone to ongoing defects since initial installation in 2013. It’s recognised nationally that composite doors should last 30+ years and you have the audacity to still brag about your quality. My current widespread cracking of the coating is occurring after less than 7 yrs. and the supplier has today advised that you have repudiated my request for a replacement. I am absolutely disgusted with your decision to wash your hands of it. Your attitude is totally unacceptable and your technical director/quality control inspector is invited to visit to discuss the situation before I take the matter further. I await a positive response and, until then I remain of the opinion that my Solidor composite door is NOT fit for purpose.

"Solidor composite door leaking…"
Had a Solidor composite door fitted in Summer 2023. It looks amazing and I'm very pleased with the look and security of it. However, since the recent heavy rain, there has been leaking under the external door and has soaked my carpet twice. I contacted the installer, who said that the doors are designed to let water in and then drain away. The water is not draining away and I have to keep drying out the carpet. There may be a rain deflector required, or modified seals, but I am reluctant to do this as it is a new product. Any thoughts on this?

"Spare parts for door"
Needed a new end cap for the bottom of my front door that was installed several years ago, spoke to Matthew who knew exactly what I was on about and promptly sent them out in the post. Totally hassle free experience. Matthew is lovely and knows his job .

Simple order process and delivery time was great as I wanted my door before Christmas. Arrived on time and is now fitted to the delight of my wife. Really has made a difference to our home. Quality is top notch.
