I had a solidor front door fitted when I was renovating our new property. The door is really good quality and looks great. Unfortunately with all the trades going in and out a small end cap on the bar at the bottom of the door was knocked off. I asked the window company to get one, however it never materialised so I e-mailed solidor to see if they could assist. I received an immediate response by email and the part arrived the next day, with no charge to me. That’s what you call good old fashioned service. Well done, thank you.

I had not done this sooner with being busy but just to say that we are extremely happy with the service and fitting of the door the fitter arrived at nine was very good and helpful and did an excellent job for us and so we are completely satisfied that we have solved this problem they have taken the door for testing as they said it was an unusual issue, also to say that Steve at solidor was very helpful and I have thanked him also for helping. Based on this I would say we are happy and glad it’s resolved. Thank you solidor.

Steve at Solidor contacted me re my complaint and he explained their process and how they work and in all fairness the agent who we ordered from did not disclose to solidor our request re the colour change and the handle requirements so they supplied as they would for a replacement as per working practices within door supply.
We had a long chat and I can see their point of view which was not explained to me and they also understood my complaint.
They wanted to resolve this as best as they could.
Steve has offered that they send out a fitter who will fit the door on the 18th and supply us with new glass units and also an internal locking handle.
This is all now arranged and I am happy to say they were helpful and hopefully this will all be resolved next week.
Based on my experience directly with Steve I feel they are doing their best to make sure we are a satisfied customer, That is all you ask for when there are problems.
Thank you Steve we look forward to seeing a new door fitted next week. I have updated this review due to the involvement so far.
We purchased a Solidor in Nov 2016 I did this because I worked for a Company that supplied their door cores and I knew this was the way to go for a secure door,
It was expensive but we were happy.
In January of this year the door started to crack from the corners of the glazed aperture this is a stress fracture and 2 of the sealed units had blown.
This was reported to them via the agent we ordered from and they put in the complaint we then covid happened and I appreciated that we had to wait and we got a response in June time by this time the split was over 8” long and you could see the core of the door.
I and the agent kept on trying to get a response from them. At one point the agent said it looked like we had hit a brick wall.
They were saying with out the paperwork and full details they could help and we provided them with our paperwork and pictures of the door they kept on saying that they could not find we had ordered the door ! Someone else at the company looked into the complaint and then agreed to manufacturing a replacement door.
Four weeks ago we got a response to say that they would replace the door and it would be approx two weeks.
At this point we asked if we could change the colour as after looking at the door in the condition for months I felt I wanted to change. I am sure the women can understand my thoughts on this !
We offered to pay extra for this if it could be done.
Solidor’s response was no we will only replace like for like.
After waiting for so long and now the door face split to the edge of the door we just wanted to get it sorted.
Yesterday 30th November 2020 we took delivery of the the door ! Well a door slab no glass units, hinges, door handle or locking system !
We were never advised that this would be the case and I asked if we could have a key lock handle as the original door has a thumb turn lock and our granddaughter who is autistic can just turn the lock and open it so we wanted to change it for safety.
I am absolutely disgusted with the whole thing, I have now been advised this is what they do for a replacement.
We now have to get all the door furniture removed including the glass and put everything on the new slab they provided.
I picked this company to order the door for all the security elements but I wished I had purchased elsewhere.
Their customer service and aftercare towards their customers is disgusting and I would never advise anyone to purchase a door from them.
I am not normally a person that complains and I have to say this is my first review where I feel that I need to share my story.
As Solidor don’t want to speak to me or help even though we offered to pay for changes we will have to sort the door ourselves.
I have spoken to friends and colleagues who have had or known people that had issues with other suppliers and they were happy with the response and after service.
I would recommend looking at purchasing a door elsewhere as we spend over £1500.00 on a door that had a major fault and this is how we get treated, The agent did everything they could and so I don’t blame them. So if I could I would give no stars to this company.

Love my new Solidor.
We went to a few showrooms to look at a few different styles and manufaturers before making our decision. As recommend actually by Solidor. The Solidor looked and felt the best for us.
We got a few quotes and delivery dates from different manufacturers. Solidor could deliver the door to our installer 3 weeks quicker than any body else. This coupled with them being our preffered choice in the first place, made the decision a really easy one.
Great door, great service.

"Initial disappointment - rectified to complete satisfaction"
I purchased this door in September and can't really complain at the quality, it is a good quality sound door. Originally it only came with 3 keys when I ordered 6 and the door knocker was missing, these issues were resolved by the local door supplier. However, the Solidor website the design your door page made the door glass look bright and colourful so we went ahead an purchased it. Sadly the reality was very different and the door glass outside looks horrid and very drab, a very disappointing purchase. Prior to purchases what otherwise is a good door I would recommend you ask to go to a showroom to view or ask your supplier or Solidor to send a photo of a real door.
However, I have now had the conversation I wanted with Solidor and explained my dissatisfaction, it transpires that our supplier a 3rd party did not pass on to us, the customer, the offer Solidor had made to replace the glass with another design or turn it around so it is brighter from the outside. Solidor explained they sell through suppliers and that is how the miscommunication happened. Having spoken to Solidor directly and my issues will be rectified next week. Once rectified I will have a good quality, good looking door which I will be completely satisfied with. Thank you Solidor for your prompt and helpful response.

"Kind and efficient customer service"
I had a problem with our six years old Solidor main entrance doors. The seals were worn out, doors became droughty. After few unsuccessful DIY attempts with self-adhesive seals, frustrated, I have turned for help to the internet and discovered, that Solidor company might solve my problem. I contacted them, was asked for a photo of our old seals and within few days the parcel arrived with a complete set of new door seals at no extra cost. Thank you Grace from the customer service, you are a star!

I had a very minor problem with a seal / gasket on the bottom of the door. One quick email and within days the part was sent out for a simple replacement fit which took 10 seconds. No more drafty front door !!
