"Good door but non-existent after sales service"

I had Solidor front door fitted last November. We were initially very pleased with it but two weeks ago the deadlock mechanism failed. Unfortunately the door was supplied by Panoramic Doors UK who have not been of any help in fixing this (see my separate review of that company). They told me to contact Solidor directly which I shouldn't have to do because I am not their customer. However it is their product so last Tuesday I starting ringing them but couldn't get through after many many attempts. I left messages but no one got back to me.
Eventually somebody answered and I was given the number and email address of a Grace Mullock. Ten days on I have not received a reply. I contacted them via social media was told someone would be in contact but again nothing.
I have an insecure front door so in desperation I called a locksmith. He is going to repair it on Tuesday at a cost of around £250. I will be sending the bill to Panoramic who I imagine will be passing it on to Solidor.
Look elsewhere if you don't want to find yourself in the same predicament as me.

First class service throughout, and never knew what a difference a door would make.
The finished product was better than I had envisaged, with every detail covered.. great customer service and a fantastic fitting team. Would highly recommend Solidor to anyone looking for a new door 👌🏻

Mine bought 16months ago doesn’t make cracking sounds but instead has produced two cracks in the skin one 18cm long. Timber Composite Doors are chasing Solidor and the fitters for me but I can’t believe what’s happened and I’ve been told it is Solidor who will decide if it’s covered under warranty or not. Meanwhile I’m left with all the hassle of trying to get it replaced when I did nothing to be left with it in this state but pay out a fortune.....

I have only just got my Solidor front door installed (a week now) and I'm starting to regret it already. Having read a lot of the negative reviews, I'm dreading to what's going to happen in the future. The door looks beautiful, but that's it.

My door gets the sun in the early morning and I'm surprised to how noisy it is with loud cracking noises. My cat notices the noise and it unsettles my dog as she's barking at it. I had to come downstairs the other morning as I wasn't too sure if someone was trying to break in. Even my neighbour has heard it when she was in her front garden. I'm expecting to have more problems with it and I expect it to bow too, like a lot of other reviewers have experienced. I got a grey door and already the colour has been scratch off (to reveal the white base) so easily, where my bag has brushed up against it. I can't believe something that I thought was top quality has faults like these.

I changed a basic composite door that I got from a large UK DIY store that was only foam filled and made in the Far East and it didn't give me one problem in the 15 years I had it. I could have given this new door an amazing review immediately after installation like, I'm sure, a lot others have done on here as you are excited to how nice it looks and the sturdiness of it. In my opinion, these doors are quality rubbish. Anyone thinking of getting a Solidor, needs to sit down and do their homework before deciding. So far they have ignored two messages and one Tweet so, I really don't have much faith in their customer services.
