"Fantastic New Front Door"

After needing a new front door I opted for Solidor and I'm so glad I did.

The whole process from designing the door on the Solidor website right through to installation has been easy with no fuss or issues.

We constantly get compliments from anyone who visits on our new door so we're very pleased to say the least.

We'll be using Solidor again to replace our back door we were that impressed. Top work guys.

"NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE."

We had 2 doors fitted in 2017 and have had problems with water ingress constantly. The slabs have been changed twice, and the last visit by solidor 19th June 2018 resulted in refitting the existing glass with double sided tape to prevent water leaking through the door. March 2019, we have water leaking again through the back door. I have had the installers out twice who have tried adjusting the door, but they, and I, believe there is a fundamental design flaw in the door. Solidor's response is that the door will basically allow water to run down the front, then track between the door and the frame. This apparently is normal. Their suggestion is to seal the grooved design with sealant to stop water tracking underneath. As sealant will degrade over time, this will need to be replaced regularly, and lets be honest, a door should be water and wind tight. That is the reason we have them! No response directly from Solidor, I am just left mopping up water and replacing flooring. Please be very wary of purchasing a solidor product, they are NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

Not had a positive response from Solidor yet. They seem to be passing back down the line to the installers who have been nothing but helpful. We now have a further issue with the front door in that wind is blowing through between the door and frame in the centre lock area. We are at the point now where we need to contemplate what action to take next. Solidor are fudging their responsibility hiding behind the installers who have no control over the quality or design of the product. I will update my review with the outcome.

"Front French Doors"

I have just purchased and had fitted a set of Solidor French front doors in Anthracite with 1800mm long stainless handles on each leaf. These look stunning and give the facade a real lift. The doors themselves are well made and finished. My fitter remarked that these are the best on the market.

I love the closure of the doors - big, heavy and reassuring. The fitter had no problem in getting both doors hung and the locks working smoothly.

Grace has been most helpful on a couple of occasions with minor problems with our doors.
Highly recommended.

"End tabs missing from rain guard"

End tabs missing from rain guard. My installer had gone bust! So I contacted Solidor, spoke to Grace who sent me some spares. No drama, no issues. Good stuff.

Door is 3 years old, still looking like new.

Such nice doors. That will stand the test of time! So many door styles and colours to choose from!! Solidor definitely lead the way in Composite Doors 10/10

Fantastic choice of doors & furniture. It's always a pleasure to deal with Grace Mullock in particular. Would highly recommend Solidor.

"Unable to produce a door with all the components the same colour!!"

A further update It is 12 months since l had the door fitted. So so disappointed with the different colours on the door and frame. I look at it and could cry ,what a complete waste of money, 3 different shades. The expensive door looks shoddy and not worthy of the money paid. The supplier said Solidor are unable to do anything further and that all the components were painted the same colour!! And Solidor do not want to know as they only deal with the supplier not the paying customer!!

The company seem unable to manufacturer a door with all the components in the same colour. Our door has 3 different colours. The door was fitted in September, after many months trying to resolve with the supplier [they won’t deal direct with the customer apparently] now been advised by the supplier Solidor are unable to resolve the problem. That’s great news, a front door with different colours!! Avoid
Just an update, details sent by retun to solidor as requested but no acknowledgement received. I doubt that they are investigating any further, contrary to their reply.
BEWARE Solidor will only deal with the installer so when you have a problem they will not deal direct with the consumer, tell you to refer to your installer. Do not what to take responsibility for the problem. Our installer advises Solidor are unable to help further so the consumer is stuck in the middle with a problem door. IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A DOOR ALL THE SAME COLOUR!! Solidor seem unable to manufacturer a door the same colour for the different components, hence a dark purple strip and another colour for the glass cassettes

"Spares"

I can only say that I needed spare parts and the service that I received - may I mention Grace Mullock, was the best that I have received for customer service from anyone in the UK this year
