I bought this door in Irish Oak with Folied white frame, to replace a traditional wooden back door.

Very pleased. The door looks like it is wood, the frame looks like wood. It shuts looking like a traditional wooden door, with no frame and door overlap inside.

The traditional Anvil handle helps to make it look as authentic as possible.

If you want the closest thing to real wood, without maintenace this is the best answer.

The door is beautiful, the new cobalt blue colour and glazing with blue accents really go together well and are just what I was looking for. The speed (only 1 month from initial enquiry to installation) was impressive and Oliver Burford of DBJoinery who installed it was efficiency personified. He was prompt, courteous, very clean and tidy, worked hard and finished on time.

"Solidor issues"

I have had my Solidor or just under 2 years and I have to say that after spending a substantial amount of money I would not recommend this brand at all!
I have had 4 site visits for lock issues and most recently warping issues which solider, wait for it, say they can warp up to 6mm either way! this resulted in my wife being locked out at 11pm and having ask a not too please neighbour for a pair of pliers so she could turn the key with the pliers due to the force needed to unlock the door due to the bowing in the summer.
As mentioned the door had warped in the centre on the this occasion due to the heat we had in the summer but now we have a warp at the to of the door due to the cold setting in, Fantastic!

My installer agrees that the door has an issue but solider has the cheek to say its an installation issue (wow! bet no other fitter can make a door warp in the future! DR Who would be proud!)

Please do no waste your hard earned money on what they say is a premium product


UPDATE - NO RESPONSE FROM SOLIDOR AFTER GIVING THEM THE INFO THEY NEEDED! THEY EVEN TRIED TO SHUT MY REVIEW DOWN AS A FAKE!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO AND BUY A FIT FOR PURPOSE DOOR NOT A SUB STANDARD ONE!



Update again:
We have had a new door as of December 2020 as they door casing had split due to the warping, let’s see how long this one lasts!!!!!!

"Door Movement"

Hello, could you please answer a question for me?

We have a Composite Solidor door with a thumb lock, when the door is closed and we turn the thumb lock to the fully locked position there is still movement in the door. Is this correct or should the door have no movement at all?

We have had the installers out and they are saying this is correct but could you confirm this for me.
