"A review of Inghams Hotel Ducs Savoie Val De Sere"
I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding experience we had during our stay at Hotel Ducs Savoie, Ingrams in Val d’Isère. From the moment we arrived, the entire team went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after, and we truly appreciated the warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm of everyone we encountered - led by Mel, Cat and the Team
A special mention to Mel, Cat, Caitlin, Eoighan, and all the team members who contributed to making our stay so enjoyable. Your engagement and attention to detail made a real difference, and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our time with you.
I would particularly like to highlight the evening dining experience, which was nothing short of exceptional. The quality of the food, wine, and service made us feel as though we were dining in a five-star hotel. Friends who joined us for dinner were so impressed that they requested to return on multiple occasions, which speaks volumes about the standard of the experience you provided. The meal on our final night was truly a highlight of the entire skiing trip—memorable in every way.
Beyond the dining, every detail of our stay was thoughtfully managed. The rooms were immaculate, the housekeeping was excellent, and we appreciated the care and attention from the chalet team. The quality of the towels, linens, and the comfort of the beds did not go unnoticed and added to the overall luxury and relaxation of our trip.
Thank you again for making our stay so special. Your hard work and dedication do not go unappreciated.

"The best ski holiday …"
Just returned from a ski holiday in Oterbauern staying at the hotel Steiner. Everything was perfect . Seamless journey and wonderful hotel. Previous description was accurate and in resort staff very helpful but not overwhelming.

"Sella Ronda Fab, Inghams to iron out a few kinks"
We were based in Arabba, located in the wider Sella Ronda area. The skiing itself was fantastic, and even with poor weather for 3/6 days, we managed to cover a fantastic variety of slopes.
The flight was fine, but the transfer wasn't ideal either way. On the way into resort the driver wasn't aware that our hotel was on his list, so we waited for everyone to get dropped off and then were on the road out of the village before we realised we had been forgotten about resulting in a very sketchy u-turn with the back of the coach overhanging a sheer drop off. On the way out of resort, the driver had been waiting for an hour prior to the first pick up, which meant the coach got stuck. We ended up arriving at Verona very tight on time, with the plane starting to board as we were making our way through security. This just made for a stressful experience.
The food at the hotel appeared fantastic if you had no dietary requirements, but it was really challenging as a vegetarian. The Antipasti buffet was labelled, but not particularly helpfully. With "Stuffed Vegetable" being a common sight, and then the stuffing varying frome meat, fish, cheese etc. The menu also wasn't consistent, with some nights having no vegetarian option, others having two. This would be a much more enjoyable experience if the menu was thought about slightly more, and there was allergen information on the labels (a small change that would make such a huge difference).
We didn't really see our resort rep, but she provided a good WhatsApp update every day, and as we skied all day every day, this was perfect for us.
Overall, there were a couple of major areas that caused stress during the holiday, and with some small tweaks, these could be significantly improved.

"Efficient and experienced winter sports…"
Efficient and experienced winter sports travel company offering good value accommodation and services. Got us there and back with no dramas.
On the downside (and this sadly applies to most operators), the personal and social aspect which used to be a definite plus over a "do it yourself" ski holiday has declined markedly. You'll only meet up and connect with your fellow holidaymakers if you make the effort. Reps are there to help if it all goes wrong but take little interest in getting to know you and pointing you in the right direction. This seems to be the function of the Digital Resort Guide which is disappointingly impersonal and very superficial.

"Week skiing in Westendorf "
Firstly the Jet 2 planes in and out of Birmingham were great and departed on or very close to the scheduled times .
Think that the company needs to add a rider re transfers to resort that the time is incumbent on other flights coming in and not just your own one . I shared a taxi to resort with 3 others as last year they were delayed for 3 hours at Saltzburg . However the reps were very helpful in bringing my ski pack to me and the the return transfer went very smoothly.
Hotel Briem was very welcoming with a comfy single room, warm and attentive staff , hearty food and a great sauna/ steam room area. With British guests can I suggest 2 things …firstly a toaster available at Breakfast and secondly some more imaginative vegetarian meals at dinner ( I’m not vegetarian by the way ).
Resort itself is very lively at apres times and is very popular with the Dutch and the Irish so it will test your stamina ! Skiing itself is definitely the toughest area of the Skiwelt with some great challenging runs and some reds which are more like blacks . Highly recommend the long red run to Ki West . Easiest way to other parts of the ski welt is the bus to Brixen otherwise it is a tough and sapping red run off the top to get down to the Brixen gondola . Head for Scheffau / Elmau for easy connected and uncrowded blues and reds . Uplift and snow retention in the whole area was brilliant and ski etiquette was very good .
I hired my skis etc separately from Reutz . Gear was brilliant ( intermediate level) and wide heated lockers right by the lifts available for 6 Euros per night .
Reds ski school looked after us well with follow up rejigs to make sure the group were fairly close in ability . Our instructor Rupy was brilliant and we covered a lot of the Ski welt in the five days .
Price of food and drink up the mountain was decent value and drinks near the resort were cheaper than home . For a good Apre’s knees up seek out the Cow Shed below the first chairlift but you may be putting your skis back on with more than a few drinks inside you …..don’t worry it’s an easy ski down.
Overall a top resort for many and varied reasons and if you go the same week as I did ( 18-25 Jan) on the Thursday and Friday you have the option of free bus or train travel to witness training days for the Hannenkahm weekend in nearby Kitzbuehl.

"First Time Skiing Trip"
First time skiing and we could not have picked a better company who guided and assisted us from day one. The recommendation of the company came from my cousin.
The resort in Flaine was excellent framed by the mountains in the background. The on ground staff were informative and very helpful.
Nesta James our rep at the resort gave practical and invaluable advice and tips with daily messages of the weather and activities in the resort/town. She made our ski trip!

"Liked the fact that they offered train…"
Liked the fact that they offered train travel but the room was let down by electrical faults such as a loose and not working plug socket that may have been a safety risk and the extractor fan in the bathroom not working. This meant to stop the room getting damp and smelly we needed to leave the bedroom window open all week. Despite reporting these faults twice at the beginning of the holiday no repair was made or any update on when they were likely to be repaired.
The food was generally good but the vegetarian option was usually the vegetables served as part of the meat option with no substitute provided for the meat and on one occasion we were served meat sausages, most likely because the girl making breakfast was still drunk from being out until 4am the night before.
Feet that at least some of the staff were being exploited by working incredibly hard to make up for the others.
The shower was overly complicated with multiple jets and levers but too small to be practical, meaning that you had to have the shower door open to reach your legs and feet to wash them. This of course added more damp issues to those caused by the extractor fan failure.

"We’ve just returned from a week skiing…"
We’ve just returned from a week skiing in Hochgurgl Austria staying at the Hotel Angerer Alm. What an amazing ski resort which includes skiing in Obergurgl and Solden. More than enough even for the expert skier. The hotel is family run and very traditional, could not have asked for a better place to stay. 7 course evening meals are exhausting! The wellness area is superb and is very much welcomed after a day of skiing. We will definitely be booking again for next year. Thank you Inghams Ski for another amazing ski holiday ❤️🇦🇹
