Great customer service both with booking and especially on transfers. This is our third year skiing in Ortisei and we will be travelling again with Inghams next year.

Complete catalogue of errors
We booked a ski holiday to Chamonix the summer before with Inghams. The hotel was supposed to be right beside where our family was staying, where we had separately booked ski lessons and beside the main lift to the slope. The hotel also had the main Aprés ski area. 10 days before we were due to fly they emailed to advise they hadn’t actually booked the hotel and the hotel we wanted was now entirely full. For anyone booking with this company this is useful to know - When trying to get some compensation back they mentioned if “significant” issues are caused by them to a holiday they only actually have to give £40 per person in compensation. What I will say is that we got a bit more than this and the hotel we stayed at was fine just not the holiday we booked and paid for, it was away from all the things mentioned no Aprés ski and no pool.

Following the holiday we, and some others on our flight, were booked a transfer in a van to a bus which then would take us to the airport. The car was late, our rep was struggling to contact and understand what was going on. Finally it turned up 40 minutes late and with not enough seats to take all of us onwards. The car boot which was supposed to fit 6 suitcases had the drivers child seat and other personal items in there also so for the other crew it was a bit of an under taking to load. The other party took the first cab and my partner and I waited for something else to be organised by the rep. Extremely stressful when keeping in mind we are trying to catch a flight. A car finally turned up for us, we asked to be taken straight to the airport and this was declined. We were taken to the bus but on arrival the other load of passengers on our flight that took the first cab were missing. It turned out they had been taken to some train station ? And we ended up waiting for them to turn up eventually also. Complete nightmare delaying us for and the rest of the coach load of people.

Given the first issue was dealt with before the holiday we then contacted Inghams in addition about the mayhem with the transport. Someone called us and it was essentially to tick a box that we had been contacted absolutely nothing came of it.

Ive never used a travel agent before, I used Inghams for a ski trip as there is a lot of moving parts and you want that all to go smoothly. It was just chaos. If I ever use a travel agent again it won’t be this one.

"Dishonest and no customer service"

Book a ski trip to La Plagne with Inghams on the 16/01/25 to travel on the 22/2/25. We booked to travel by train as you don't get the long transfers at the other end as I suffer with car sickness.
Inghams provided the travel itinerary when we booked which stated that any changes to travel plans will be made at least one month prior to departure.
After chasing our tickets they sent them to us 5 days before travel. I checked the tickets and could see that our return journey had been changed and we now had a long transfer to Chambery train station instead of Moutiers as booked.
Inghams did not inform us of the change and when this was raised with them they simply stated that 4 other parties were Ok with the change so why aren't you. (I have this in an email). The reason they provided for the change was that there was an issue with our Moutiers station so it had to change. I looked into this and could see no evidence of issues with that station.
After some back and forth they said they would provide a private transfer to Chambery for us. I was not happy with this but at such a late stage had no choice but to accept.
The hotel we stayed in was classified as 4 star but no way was it 4 star. More like a 3 but the classification may not be down to Inghams. We ended up going across the road to an actual 4 star hotel to use their bar.
The day of return we were not provided with a private transfer as they had stated and we shared with other travellers. I asked our driver what the problem is with Moutiers train station and he confirmed that there was no problem with the station but the other travellers had to go to Chambery airport so it was probably easier for Inghams to send us all there together.
In short Inghams were dishonest and completely lacking in customer service. I would advise others not to use them.

"Brilliant ski holiday - thank you Inghams!"

From first contact, at short notice, Inghams worked really hard to find a holiday that fitted our requirements. We finally found it & it was worth the search, we loved the Hotel Strass it was perfect for us and the local Mayrhofen Inghams team were extremely helpful with hints tips and advice on how to make the most of our time there. Thank you

"Chalet Noela VT"

Our family trip to Val Thorens always fantastic. We stayed at Chalet Noela and our host Laura was amazing. She felt part of the holiday! Her cooking was superb and really made our trip.

"Brochure Errors Meant View of a Concrete Wall"

Shockingly poor room. We booked early and paid for the most expensive room available. The brochure described 2 rooms as having "restricted views", so we requested either of the other 2 rooms. We duly received one of the "unrestricted view" rooms that we had requested, and were shocked to be given a room that was under ground level and staring at a concrete wall. If the brochure had been honest and accurate, we would have requested only the room on the floor above (or booked elsewhere).
One of our party suffered a ruptured Cruciate Ligament on Day 2 and had to be rescued off the mountain. I phoned the Inghams rep on that day to see what assistance he was able to provide with obtaining medical care in the resort - his response was unhelpful and he basically said we were on our own.
I would not use Inghams again - dishonest brochure and disinterested resort staff.

"Highly recommended - Hotel Jagerhof was warm and welcoming"

Hotel Jagerhof in Ischgl was warm and welcoming. Rooms were generous with, joy of joys, lots of hooks and storage! Great food and wine. Easy access to the lift each morning. Boot room storage cramped but just about adequate. Pleasant apres ski on the terrace each afternoon. The skiing in Ischgl worked well for our family of mixed abilities, everything was super-efficient and we loved the thermal baths. Highly recommended.
