"A premium price for a poor service"
We thought we were buying a premium service when we booked a ski holiday with Inghams. In fact we experienced a worse than basic holiday with really poor, ineffective and incompetent customer service from the resort rep and manager in Obergurgl. I do not appreciate when raising an issue using the excuse 'well nobody else has complained!' - ha! the lowest common denominator of service. The hotel we stayed at allocated us one of the worst rooms and the worst restaurant table. The hotel told us that they allocated the best to their regular customers. Ingham's admitted this and did nothing to improve our situation.
I would never book with Inghams again.
If you want a basic service then I would use a cheaper package company or consolidator.
If you want a premium service then I would use another company or book direct with a private transfer. The hotel did treat direct customers in a much better way.

"Top holiday experience "
We have just returned from an excellent week skiing with Inghams. Top quality care and services from the very beginning to our ‘goodbyes’. We will definitely holiday again with Inghams.

Inghams provided great advice and support without being intrusive. Helped us with ski lessons and chatted about resort. All transfers smooth and on time .

"Great Customer Service"
I am an independent travel agent and I have used Inghams a few times now. I am so impressed each time with the customer service, always so helpful, straight to the point and kind. Thankyou :)

"Excellent all round"
Hotel chalet Ducs de Savoie Val D’Isère.
Excellent all round. Flights and transfers easy and comfortable. The chalet / hotel was very comfortable and the food and wine were excellent. Delicious afternoon tea each day and then canapés and fizz before dinner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had the most fabulous holiday. 10/10

"Didn't live up to their reputation - Use someone else"
I've been holding off posting this pending the outcome of a complaint, but that's all delt with now so here we go.
We chose Inghams due to the reputation they had, booking a weeks ski trip to Seefeld based upon our ability and the options we wanted including a short transfer.
We booked a half board holiday for 3 - including flights, ski school / Snowboard School and lift passes all through Inghams.
The website appeared informative and easy to use, we were very excited, a few weeks after booking we got an e-mail stating that the destination airport had changed lengthening our transfer from 30 mins, to 2 hours 30 mins, not ideal seeing as we had a later flight, there was no clear indication that this could happen on the Inghams website at the time of booking - bad start.
We contacted Inghams to ask if there was an alternative but apparently not, and considering we had paid for half board we were now due to miss an evening meal (no refund was offered).
When check in was live we logged on to the Jet 2 site to find that in order to have seats together we needed to pay an additional £80.00, again, this was not mentioned on the Inghams site at the time of booking.
The day came and we flew comfortably with Jet 2, and upon arrival the Inghams Reps seemed nice.
Arriving at the Hotel Das Kaltschmid it was lovely our room met all our expectations, however, due to our missed meal we were offered a meet platter, very nice, however, it was covered in Cheese, one of our party had a cheese allergy, again, not something that was indicated on the Inghams site at the time of booking, we were then offered a meal voucher for one of the Hotels restaurants, (a value of 13Euros) a nice offer but the restaurants were expensive and cost us another 90Euros, a little frustrating but not a deal breaker.
Next day off to the slopes, Ski / Board hire was excellent, kit was in first class condition.
Getting to the lifts we find out our lift passes do not work and have in fact expired, the lift operator was unable to help so we called the Inghams customer emergency help line, there was no answer, calling the Inghams booking (sales) number the call gets answered immediately (how odd), after being on hold for nearly 30 mins we explained the dilemma and awaited a call from the Rep (Chris).
Some time later I get a text from Chris explaining that in fact there is an issue with the passes as he can see from the receipts, we will look in to this and be in touch, considering we now can not ski this is really frustrating.
Later that evening Chris explains that he will meet us on the slopes the following day with new passes and we are to purchase passes to see us through the initial part of the day and we will be refunded, ok that's not too bad.
Monday, and Chris meets us with new passes - all good or so we thought.
Wednesday and I get to the bottom of the lift to find my pass is no longer working, I call Chris and he said he will look in to it, apparently its been cancelled, so I purchase one myself, so I can ski, he will update me later.
Long story short, this goes on for the rest of the holiday only having my pass finally sorted on the last day, I spent ages calling, texting and visiting pass offices and lift stations and it really impacted on me and my families holiday, a shout out to Chris he was brilliant, but I can't help but think that Inghams could have done more like issue a new pass and deal with the issue with the pass office instead of me having to deal with it, we estimate that I lost in total a day of slope time and other family members at least half a day.
They did refund us for the extra passes we purchased while we were out there but it was a total mess and took the edge of what was a great holiday, add this to the extra costs we hadn't budgeted for and it makes for a really frustrating experience.
They did give us some compensation but it was way short of the extra costs we incurred and didn't make up for the lift pass issues.
Personally I won't use Inghams again, if you decide to use them, read the T&C's page very carefully (its very long) and buyer beware.

"Left at edge of village with no help to carry luggage to accommodation "
Had a good value for money week away in general in Tignes 1800; but one thing let Inghams down badly. It should have been flagged up on booking that we would need to carry our luggage quite a way with no assistance. On arrival at Tignes 1800, we were decanted at a roundabout to make our own way to the MMV Altaviva. With 2 large kitbags and a ski bag, we had to carry them 10+minutes away, down a hill. Likewise on return we had to carry luggage uphill at 5am, for 10 mins. If the road had been snowy/icy it would have been dangerous or impossible. Many people would have found this difficult and we are retired. In sharp contrast Crystal Ski guests had a minibus luggage transfer, as well as a rep on site to assist (who also asked if we were alright!). Inghams had nothing. Inghams is spreading its staff resource too thinly - I understand our rep had to cover all of Tignes!! It should have been flagged up on booking that we would need to carry our kit for 10+ minutes each way down/uphill, not come as a nasty surprise. In 35 years I have never been just left somewhere like this to walk to the accommodation with no help. Not very impressed.
