"Very poor communication "
I returned a couple of weeks ago from Meribel where we stayed in Le Cèdre Blanc. The chalet was really nice with good food. However, the overall experience of Inghams itself was poor. We were unfortunately delayed by a rockfall which closed the motorway which we fully appreciate was outside the control of Inghams staff. However my issue is with the shocking lack of transparency about what was going on prior to getting on the coach from the airport and whilst on the coach. The non existent communication was unacceptable during this journey and subsequent information regarding how it may, but didn’t, impact on the return journey at the end of the holiday. There was limited reasoning conveyed for decisions made which were not based on the full information available from local government and this was very frustrating. It resulted in a very poor impression of the company and a very poor experience. I will never use this company again and will be advising friends to avoid them. Their staff are ill
prepared to deal with anything out of the ordinary. I have contacted the company directly and received an inadequate response

"Poor performance from inghams on sestriere ski holiday"
Just come back from a ski holiday with Inghams in Sestriere in Italy. Great skiing and good location near the slopes but the hotel was a three star shambles and, despite very / kind nice owners, had terrible beds and terrible food. I haven’t slept in such an uncomfortable and small narrow bed since I was at boarding school bracket (I am now 56!). The food was really really poor, which is such a shame when it can’t be difficult to produce delicious pasta and sauces which is what skiers want at the end of a busy day Finally, the holiday had been booked on the basis that we would be training it to Italy because I wanted a sustainable a holiday. Having paid fully for the holiday inghams let me know that in fact we would have to fly since there was a landslide that was blocking the line. I later found out that this landslide had been known about for many many months and that nobody had thought it would be open by February 2025 which is the time of my holiday. I feel that the holiday was presented on false presented pretenses and took advantage of my wish to travel sustainably.

"Excellent Lapland holiday"
Excellent Lapland holiday. Very easy booking process. All pre holiday questions answered promptly via email. Flights on time. Accommodation as advertised and was great for our family. All excursions were excellent, animals were well cared for. The whole holiday was well organised, reps were very approachable, knowledgeable and happy to answer any queries and kept us up to date with information both verbally and via a WhatsApp group which was excellent. The whole holiday exceeded our expectations. Thank you Inghams.

"If you are considering Saariselka - book it!"
Pre travel staff were excellent on phone calls - not pushy, just enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. Our holiday was fantastic. We went to Saariselka in Lapland - a first for us.
Communication prior to travel from Matt was excellent.
In resort, Inghams rep Matt was brilliant. His communication throughout the week was excellent. His passion for his job, and for the resort, was 2nd to none! A variety of activities were on offer and we took up many, including skiing, ice karting, aurora campfire (and we were so lucky!), husky safari, reindeer safari and snowmobiles. We booked most before we went, taking advantage of the ski saver pack, and the 3 for 2 offer. We then were impulsive in resort and booked another two. We have absolutely no regrets. Local guides were excellent. Safety was always at the forefront, and then enjoyment of course.
Ski lessons were very good - the spread of ability in the groups was quite wide but I guess that just comes down to who goes in any particular week. It was perfect for us.
I would say it is the perfect place to learn to ski - the slopes were so quiet and it was February half term!
A huge thank you to everyone at Inghams who made our holiday so amazing.

"Chalet Cairn - Tignes 2100"
Fabulous holiday to Chalet Cairn in Tignes Le Lac. Chalet was brilliant - clean, spacious, great location, lovely hot tub. Chalets hosts were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts, afternoon cakes and evening meals were outstanding. We've skied with Inghams several times and it's always been great, but I think this is our favourite chalet. If I had to have one small grumble, it's that no one should have to do a five hour transfer in a coach without a toilet! The traffic at half term isn't within Inghams control but the coach is!

"Fantastic family holiday"
The pre arrangements were handled very well. This was a complicated trip and Inghams were very helpful and flexible.
Our chalet was lovely with amazing views. The rooms were functional but we knew that before we went. The staff and catering were amazing. No way you could be hungry.
It is a bit of a trek to the centre with gear so most of us either booked lockers in the centre or the ski hire places may store them. Without gear it is a pleasant walk.

"Skiing in San Vigilio"
Skiing in San Vigilio, staying in hotel Theresa. Very poor customer support from Inghams once the initial sale had been made they didn’t answer any questions about ski school or hire. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant. The hotel bedrooms were very dated (1980’s) and the bed very uncomfortable, the shower was very small and had a very weak water flow. The spa in the hotel was new and extremely well equipped however it was advertised as open from 09-00 to 19-00 I visited three times on separate occasions at between 14.30 and 15.30 and non of the facilities were turned on, sauna, steam room etc very disappointing.
The slopes and all the ski areas were maintained to a very high degree, with very pleasant stops for good reasonably priced food and drink.
I would definitely ski and stay in San Vigilio again, would I use Inghams I doubt it.
Forgot to mention, I had booked and paid extra for seats on both outward and return journey. When I checked in on line and checked our seats they were no where near what I had booked, asked Inghams to look into this and they informed me that I must take this up with Jet2 myself. I was under the misguided impression that was what you used a booking agent for.

"Excellent Chalet holiday in St Anton."
We were a group of 8 adults and teenagers whi stayed in Chalet Fauner B in St Anton. The Chalet was spacious and clean with a fabulous sauna. It was perfectly located less than 5 mins from the main lift. We hired ski lockers (only €20 pp) for the week in the ski shop so we didn’t have to carry anything back to the chalet. Our Chalet maid Liv, and resort expert Adrian were both fabulous. We’re all very competent skiiers and skiied about 35km each day without getting bored as the ski area is so large.

"Inghams poor when they have to deal with adversity"
Whilst there seem to be a fair few good reviews on here for Ingham’s, look closer. The measure of a package holiday provider is best taken when things go wrong. What is their communication like? Did they feed you? Replacement hotels? Speed to recover the situation? Post holiday compensation?
Our January ski trip was hit by weather delays (not Ingham's fault). But Inghams shambolic organisation was solely responsible for the loss of a days skiing.
On all counts Inghams were awful and judging by the reviews, my experience is typical of other customer's when things have gone wrong.
Communication was very poor. Whilst they consistently said sorry and repeatedly told us they were doing everything they could, we did not make it to resort to ski on Sunday. Losing a whole day of the holiday. Diverted from Chambéry to Turin, had we been better informed, we could have made the choice to get a private taxi from Turin on Saturday night. Instead we were ushered to a mediocre standard hotel, no food provided, the coach to the resort did not turn up to 10am the next morning, it then drove around other hotels for an hour, before driving back past our original hotel! A 3.5 hour journey took over 6 hours. Arriving at past 4pm.
I see apologetic responses to other negative posts from Inghams, asking to contact them so they can address issues, don’t be fooled. We have twice given them the chance to make amends and provide some level of compensation. Twice they have refused, accepting no responsibility whatsoever.
Contrast Ingham's response to the one a fellow traveller who had booked with Crystal ski. They suffered similar weather triggered issues, but received a recognition of failings within the week and a seventh of holiday refunded. Well done Crystal.
Inghams, it is easy to perform when things go well, but things did not go well and your weak customer care was exposed. You had a chance to make amends and to put it frankly you didn’t give a s&$t.

"Booking for a single. "
Made a booking for a ski holiday. I had to go through a phone service as I needed a single room. Initially the offer came back as more than twice the price of a double! After some discussion, I was offered a reasonable price for single use of a double room. The administration was fine, the flights, transfers, rep and hotel were all of a good standard. Would use Inghams again but it would be nice if a single could book through the internet, although it was appreciated that in this case the hotel was contacted and agreed to take me as a single as I was traveling with family in a double.
