Ik boekte een vlucht van Amsterdam naar Rhodes met een tussenstop in Thessaloniki voor 2 personen. Nu blijkt dat Dohop voor elke vlucht een aparte boeking heeft gemaakt en voor ieder persoon. Dat betekent dat ik 4 keer moest inchecken. We kunnen niet bij elkaar zitten omdat we apart moesten inchecken. Stel je voor dat ik voor een groep had geboekt. Je bent gewoon een werkdag kwijt aan inchecken. Daarnaast had ik een koffer geboekt bij mijn boeking. Blijkt die alleen geboekt te zijn van Amsterdam naar Thessaloniki. Van Thessaloniki naar Rhodes moest apart geboekt worden. Wel gek want ik boek toch tot aan Rhodes? Op zich was het extra betalen voor de koffer niet eens mijn grootste zorg. Blijkt dat ik de koffer ook nog bij de bagageband in Thessaloniki moet ophalen en opnieuw inchecken bij de balie en allemaal met 1 uur overstaptijd. Iedereen weet dat dat natuurlijk onmogelijk is in zo een korte tijd. Koffer heb ik dus moeten achterlaten in Nederland. Zonde van mijn geld echt waar. Bij andere platformen zorgen ze gewoon dat je je koffer op eindbestemming kunt ophalen en dat je bij elkaar kunt zitten aangezien je in 1x voor meerdere personen boekt. Waardeloos. In de chat reageren ze wel snel, enkel om te zeggen dat ze niks voor me kunnen doen.

Dohop - great from start to finish. My flight was cancelled and re-booked which meant I missed my connecting flight and then also return flights were no good. Angel took the stress out of everything and sorted a full refund for me.

Ho prenotato accedendo all’app easy jet due voli con uno scalo notturno di 12 ore. Se prenoti i due voli entrambi, operati dalla stessa compagnia, con la stessa transazione in automatico vieni dirottato su easy jet world wide e subisci l’applicazione di un pizzo criminale addebitato da easy jet, ma per conto di dohop pari a 12 euro. Dohop non offre alcun servizio di protezione se non dietro pagamento di una fee aggiuntiva. Paghi 12 euro solo per aver cercato se fosse possibile prenotare un volo con scalo. Non vi è alcun servizio aggiuntivo. Ti ascoltano 24/7 solo se cancellano un volo, ma non si assumono alcun costo di riprotezione. È una sorta di estorsione con inganno ai danni del consumatore. La soluzione è prenotare le due tratte separatamente.

I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Dohop that I feel compelled to share to prevent others from falling into the same trap.

I booked a refundable ticket through Dohop and later tried to purchase a return ticket for my son. Unfortunately, two unexpected issues arose:
1. My son's school exam date was moved to an earlier date, so he couldn’t travel.
2. I discovered that Turkey does not allow children under 16 to travel without a parent, a policy not applicable in the UK.

These circumstances forced me to cancel my son's ticket. However, Dohop provided no option to cancel just one ticket, so I had to cancel both. Trusting their "refundable ticket" promise, I applied for a refund.

Shockingly, they rejected my refund request, claiming my reason was unacceptable, even after I provided all necessary documentation. They didn’t even respond to my follow-up inquiries or my suggestion to use one ticket and get credit for the other. This left me scrambling to purchase a new ticket while my original funds were tied up.

It seems Dohop deliberately complicates the refund process to trap customers into giving up, allowing them to profit in multiple ways:
1. Selling tickets with commissions.
2. Charging for refundable options but denying refunds.
3. Reselling canceled tickets for additional profit.
4. Exploiting customers who expect a fair refund process.

Their unethical practices are nothing short of predatory. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Dohop to think twice. Look for a more reliable and transparent service provider instead.

Save yourself the hassle, frustration, and financial loss. Dohop is not worth the risk.
