I have never experienced such poor customer service and lack of accountability as I have with Dohop. It has been over two months since I requested a refund for expenses incurred due to a missed flight connection caused by a delay. Despite numerous emails, providing all necessary details, and continuously following up, Dohop has failed to process my refund.
On July 1st, 2024, my wife and I were scheduled to fly from Barcelona (BCN) to Edinburgh (EDI) with a layover in Geneva (GVA) via easyJet. Our first flight from Barcelona to Geneva was delayed, causing us to miss our connecting flight to Edinburgh. Stranded in Geneva, outside the EU, with no working phone service and limited resources, we had to rely on airport Wi-Fi to communicate with Dohop. They assured us we could book a new flight for the next day and a hotel, promising a refund for all additional expenses.
We booked everything as instructed, including a hotel and meals, spending hours managing this unexpected ordeal. We secured new flight tickets, accommodation, transport, and basic meals. We followed every instruction, kept costs to a minimum, and submitted all receipts promptly. However, Dohop only refunded a small portion for the missed flight and has since stalled on reimbursing the remaining amount, which is substantial.
Every time I contact them, I am met with the same vague responses about my request being "in progress" or the financial team needing more time. Most frustratingly, I was informed over a month ago that my refund would take "up to 30 days," yet here we are, still waiting with no clear resolution in sight.
Not only did I have to endure a stressful and costly experience in an unfamiliar country due to the initial flight delay, but Dohop's handling of the refund process has added insult to injury. It feels like I'm stuck in an endless loop of excuses and delays, with no real effort from Dohop to rectify the situation.
Their lack of communication, transparency, and action is unacceptable. This has been a huge financial burden for me, and Dohop's unresponsiveness only makes the situation worse. I urge Dohop to finally do the right thing and process my full refund without any further delay. Until then, I cannot recommend their service to anyone.

Dohop's connecting flight insurance is rubbish. It´s all in the fine print. I bought the insurance for our family for one connecting flight for our summer holliday. Everywhere I read is said worry free, no hazzle, you are covered etc. Well it doesn´t work that way. Our connecting flight was cancelled and according to the terms I read when I bought the insurance this wasn´t going to be a problem. Dohop was supposed to get us a new flight and get us to our destination. That´s where the fine print came in. If the later flight is cancelled and not the first flight then they don´t cover anything, you are on your own. Dohop is a business that has been run on the wrong side of the profit/loss line for many years and from my point of view they needed some more cash inflow and came up with an insurance that doesn´t work and they don´t have to compensate people. its a SCAM in my eyes. Don´t deal with them.

I strongly advise against using Dohop for booking flights. While their flight savings algorithm might seem appealing, booking directly through Dohop can lead to significant issues. My experience has been extremely frustrating; they are unresponsive when it comes to refunds and simply redirect you to another phone number without resolving your problem. For a smoother experience it's best to book directly with the airline. My recommendation: stay away from Dohop to prevent any travel-related headaches.
I wouldn't even give them one star...
