"I recently had a boiler installed "

I recently had a boiler installed by Hug Boilers, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish! Jason, who initially helped me with the purchase, was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me through the options with patience and professionalism. He made sure I found the right boiler for my needs without any pressure.

The installation itself was seamless. The engineer who carried out the work, was punctual, efficient, and left everything spotless. They clearly take pride in their work, and it shows!

I’m so pleased with the result and would highly recommend Hug Boilers to anyone looking for a reliable and professional service. Thank you, Jason and the engineers for making the whole process so easy and stress-free!

"First class professional team"

Firstly the quote from Jason was very competitive and they could do the work within the time scale we needed. They could also supply the Worcester Bosch 4000 30KW that we wanted so a survey was carried out via video call just to make sure the engineer had no surprises when he turned up.
On the day Craig arrived nice and early and removed the tanks and plumbing from the attic, then the emersion tank and associated piping in the bathroom. Everything was made good and the new boiler installed in the garage. Craig was extremely knowledgeable and clearly years of experience aided him completing the removal/new installation by the end of that day. He helped me pop the hive system on too and after I sussed the internet connection I was supplied with heating and hot water. It’s been a week and the boiler performs fantastic!
Rounded up I have to say that HUG we brilliant and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. The team were polite, timely and communicated with me at all times. The financial deals were a real plus too!
I will certainly deal with them again.

"I have only had the new boiler 5 months…"

I have only had the new boiler 5 months when we had an issue, no hot water. I called Hug Boilers who has installed it, a lovely lady gave me simple instructions on how to check the pressure, which I did, and also how to increase the pressure. I mentioned the boiler had a leak, Hug contacted the supplier who came out within 48hrs and fixed the issue. Great service, thank you.

"Good price, good boiler, good installation, good support"

A difficult job in a very old house, 1908, 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms in rural Northumberland .
Replacing a 35 year old boiler and cold and hot water tanks with a Viessmann 111-W Combi storage boiler in the attic
HUG sent their surveyor, John, who was an experienced plumber to quote for the job and work out the plan. He recommended the boiler for the job and did all the paperwork.
In the meantime, our old boiler died and Rachel did great job bringing forward the installation despite delays in sourcing the boiler from Germany.
Mick, the Boiler Wizard and Carl arrived early (7.50am) and worked non stop to work out the maze of pipes in the attic where the boiler was to be fitted.
The new boiler was delivered and was hauled up into the attic, installed and connected. The old hot and cold water tanks were removed.
Next day the new boiler was commissioned. Wayne the electrician arrived from Leeds to join the party and sorted the electrics and set up the Nest programmer. He talked us through the operation.
Then the fun began removing the old boiler and redundant pipework. This difficult and dirty job was completed and the place tidied up and all the old tanks and boiler disposed of.
Later there was a problem with a leakage in the system causing the boiler to lose pressure and shut down, excellent communication between John, Rachel and Mick sorted the problem and the system was up and running again. Good after service.
HUG are highly recommended. Their strength is the caliber and competence of the people and the communication between them.

"Poor and disappointing."

Price originally agreed was different on installation date as upgrades were missing. I called the company and explained I was not to happy and she started to get very angry saying that the company records all calls and that I was basically lying what we'd agreed on.
I asked if she would kindly send me the recording and after 3 days of waiting the next excuse came along which was it couldn't be sent due to the file type??? Complete BS. She'd realised she had completely messed up just to get a sale.
Anyway moving on Installer stunk of beer and cigarettes.
He had the old boiler out and new on in in 1h 30 mins.
I specifically asked him if the system was bad when it came to the power flush and he just looked at me a bit blanc and kinda noded. I was surprised as I was sure he had not done it and can confirm I checked all CCTV and no power flush machine came out of his van and into my property once.
Installer only showed me how to adjust the hot water setting. Nothing about the fill loop or heating adjustment temperature.
Installer left and I have to clean up all the mess in the downstairs bedroom where the boiler was installed.
Still have the pics.
For safety the next day I took more time off work and had to get a local plumber to completely check the installation. He properly power flushed the system and said yep it had never been done. Also tightened up a compression joint that was weeping and an electrical connection that had a bare wire hanging out too far. He went on to show me everything on my new boiler. Even the app on the wifi.
The impression I got from the installer was he just wanted to be in and out asap, and with no regards to safety. The impression of the company was we just need a sale and quite happy to sell you extras then deny it!

"HUG deals are hard work!"

The installing engineer made a bad decision with a section of the pipework which resulted in a leak. He was then not contactable for a few days and it took a week to resolve the problem.
I am still having issues with the operation of the Nest System. There does not appear to be any comprehensive easily accessible information as to how to set up the system. I am having to learn by trial and error.
All in all changing my boiler has been a difficult and disappointing experience.
