Honestly my chaise is sooooo comfortable I could live on it. And it has been fashioned to my spec. Cost a bit more but it was what I wanted .

"First class furniture and service "

From start to finish the service has been first class. We made an online enquiry first and received a quote and extra information quickly with the offer of a visit to discuss further. We decided to arrange this before going elsewhere although we’d seen a suite at another retailer that we were interested in (turned out to be significantly more expensive for a mass produced product).

We soon decided J&R was the place we wanted to spend our money. No hard sell, helpful information, high quality products, extensive range of fabrics and excellent price. Our visit to have a look ended with us making an order, quickly narrowing down our fabric choices with Dave’s expert help.

We could not be happier with our furniture that was delivered a couple of weeks ago. It exceeds our expectations. The quality of manufacture is second to none and it’s the most comfortable furniture we’ve ever owned.

The delivery team were prompt, efficient whilst also careful. Both very friendly guys too. After sales has been great, we needed one of the sofa legs to be swapped with one of the team coming out to sort it.

Would have no hesitation in returning to J&R and definitely would recommend.

"The difference between shopping at…"

The difference between shopping at James and Rose and other furniture outlets is the same as buying a bespoke suit rather than one from the rail. The whole experience from design to delivery is personalised in the finest detail to giving you the furniture of dreams. I fully recommend the company not only for the quality of the furniture but the journey they took me on from the initial telephone call to unwrapping and arranging it in my home!

"Perfect in every sense. "

I am so pleased with the sofa and wing chair which James and Rose made for me. The quality and workmanship are exceptional and it’s obvious that these guys are professionals and love what they do. I highly recommend - but be warned! The chairs are so comfortable, I am usually asleep within five minutes of settling down! Thank you James and Rose for creating perfect seating for my space.

We purchased a sofa from James & Rose in October 2024. I’ve left it a couple of months before reviewing to give a somewhat “worn in” rather than brand new perspective.
From first contact these folks were super easy to deal with. We booked a visit to the showroom, they sent us a variety of samples, we wanted different sizes to their standard sizes and they were able to do what we wanted in the colour we wanted. They actually listened to our needs when helping us to choose a fabric, for example one fabric was said to be good for pets but when I said our pet licks the fabric sometimes how would it withstand that, they honestly said they did not know if a particular fabric would withstand that without the pile flattening and suggested alternatives where that would be no concern- they did not just placate us and say it would be “fine”. I appreciated that they listened and were honest. They also did exactly what they said they would quicker than their estimated turn around. I don’t think you can ask for more in terms of customer service and I am not one to hold my tongue!
The sofa & ottoman itself? I looked for hours and hours for about 2 years for the sofa I knew I wanted. James & Rose provided exactly what we wanted in terms of size, style, fabric and colour. It is very comfy. We are now about 4 months into daily use with 2 adults and a dog and it looks like the day it was delivered.
As an aside we had a different company recover an old chair we had and they asked where we got our sofa (they happen to make sofas too) and when I told them they were nothing but complimentary about James & Rose and said “you’ve got a sofa for life there”. What a compliment from another person in the trade eh?
Conclusion? We would happily use James & Rose again. I’d go there before going anywhere else.

"Exceptional"

Our sofa buying experience with James and Rose has been exceptional from start to finish.

On our first visit to the showroom and workshops, it quickly became apparent just how good the quality of the sofas were.

Customer service was excellent throughout - Holly in particular helped advise and guide us, especially through the extensive range of fabrics available.

We absolutely love our Zara corner sofa and we would not hesitate to return to James and Rose for more furniture in the future.

From my first call all the way through to delivery, this company have got it all right!
I was given excellent directions to their workshops and showroom, a tour of the facility to see their craftsmen in action and the choice of 00s of fabrics. The delivery was exactly as agreed, clean and efficient duo arrived, they added the legs and sticky pads as I have hard wood floors - its the little things!
I knew I wanted a quality item rather than a mass produced cheaper alternative. James and Rose have made me exactly that - and yes, it is very comfortable :)
