Simple to use and easily connects to my phone. Except when internet connection is poor... There should be an offline mode.

"Terrible disappointment"

The device appears to be snazzy and nice, but it's unreliable. It periodically freezes up and needs to be taken apart and rebooted. Twice the server was down (once on a busy Saturday, for 6 hours) and I lost sales because I couldn't process payments.

The device doesn't allow you to stay logged in for any length of time, so you have to manually enter your email and password in between sales which slows the process down considerably. There isn't even a simple option to automatically save the password to speed the process up. When I reached out to Dream Payments about this problem they gave me a wish washy "it's on the list of things to do" answer with no ETA. Customers do not like to be kept waiting and any time saving measures should be at the top of the priority list.

The kicker for me was when I recommended the device to a new local business (before I started to experience issues of course), and after they paid for it and signed up for an account, nothing happened for weeks. My friend called and they said they wouldn't do business with him because his shop sells marijuana smoking paraphernalia. Now he has a device he can't use, and was kept waiting for weeks in limbo without being informed of the issue.

There should be some warning other than the fine print for head shops. This is a day and age when marijuana is on the cusp of being legalized and a perfectly legal shop selling bongs and vaporizers is ghosted. They were happy to take his money for the device, but won't process any payments because of some misguided and out dated prejudice.

I'm upgrading to a more professional payment processing terminal through my bank because Dream Payments is a terrible disappointment.

We have a seasonal business therefore we have only done one transaction with the device and it worked fine. Once we get into the summer season will find out how it will really hold up and perform. The unfortunate thing is we bought it because you can sync it with QuickBooks or at least you advertise you can however we have not been able to sync with QuickBooks in over a month because you need to enter a bank account and intuit has made this process extremely difficult. Perhaps dream could work with intuit QuickBooks To provide better customer service to get a bank account added in a more efficient and quick manner.

This system is excellent. I just wish your credit card interest of 2.75% was not so high. That's a lot of money on larger purchases and it adds up quickly overall.

It works great. There is a very tiny learning curve in using the app when making a transaction but that goes away quickly. I'm not at all tech savvy so if I find it user friendly and uncomplicated, that's saying a lot. I have no regrets and would totally recommend it.

Works Great fills a void that was missing with my other payment processing company's. after 15yrs I have finally found a company I m happy with and proud its Canadian! keep up the good work!

"Great when it works"

Very professional looking - customers love it. Issues with glitches, dropping the sync with your phone, and it's a clunky process to re-sync. Happy I kept my back-up payment system. If it operated more reliably I'd happily give it rave reviews.

I was unaware that the reader power would run out after charging without using it. The first time I went to use the reader it was dead. I have not tried to use it again as of yet. I have some larger craft fairs coming up and will try to remember to charge the system immediately before the event so I can give it another try.
