"Don't trust their ratings and 'reviews'"
I received an email from Schuh this week requesting a review of my recent boots purchase. I duly submitted one, giving three stars and - truthfully - saying while they looked great (so I was keeping them) they came up very small so I'd had to order a full size up from my usual, and also that, even then, they weren't comfortable enough for distance walking, in comparison to a previous different (named) pair that I'd bought from Schuh some time ago, but okay for general wear. Within an hour, a 5-star review appeared for the boots simply saying 'lovely comfortable boots' and 'rated as a perfect fit', and one day on, still no sign of my review. I question the professional ethics of a company requesting a written review when they then, effectively, mislead customers by only publishing wholly complimentary 'reviews' (and I also question the validity of the one they did publish, with the reference to the sizing being 'perfect' being a major red flag in that regard) rather than truthful reviews that would actually be useful for potential buyers to read. It's really put me off of giving them future custom, despite buying from Schuh online over several years.

I’m surprised by the bad reviews. I ordered Dr Martens, which were delivered quickly but the size 6 were too big. It was easy to exchange them for a size 5 on the Schuh website. I returned the size 6 via the Asda return service (very efficient). It’s been about 5 days since I returned the size 6 and the size 5 are out for delivery already. So I’m impressed! I also spoke to someone at Schuh customer service and he was very helpful (his name was Uzair). So I had a very good experience. My order number is 2392921901.

"Sent to wrong address, unhelpful customer service"
The company overrode my correct delivery address with old details despite me using their "Amed Delivery Address", and confirming correct address at point of purchase.
They used details from PayPal despite me editing these and confirming my correct address at checkout.
Item sent out incorrectly, very unhelpful customer service. Out of pocket and no item delivered correctly.

Purchased 2 pairs of trainers totalling £130 , asked for the receipt , the service assistant said if we joined the “ schu club “ we would get a £10 gift card or online credit plus the points from this sale totalling £20 in total of credit to use either in the shop or online !! We guess what nothing received and after contacting schu they said no such incentives have been offered !! He proceeded to offer me a 10% credit voucher ( we all know 10% in schu is absolutely nothing ) , not happy at all

"10 days it took for my order to come…"
10 days it took for my order to come from purchasing, i could have walked bare foot to a handful of stores and collected them myself if i would have known. UPS are shocking, updating the tracker and then turn up on complete opposite days. To top if off, the packing comes absolutely battered. Can hardly give these as a present now. Will not be shopping again!

Schuh in Bournemouth are excellent. The shop has had the same staff for quiet awhile. The service is above excellent. Delivery to store is exemplary. Shuh are very easy to do business with. First class Company.

"Happy with my purchase, shame about delivery (UPS, a truly awful courier)"
I was looking for a pair of specific trainers and Schuh had the best price for them online. I put in my order and everything went smoothly until delivery: this was supposed to be done by UPS which is the worst courier company it has been my misfortune to deal with. I never understand why any business uses them, as they receive terrible reviews. When I ordered online from Schuh, I specified my home address and expected my parcel to be delivered there. However, UPS has never actually delivered anything, at any point, to my home and this time was no different: they claimed that they attempted delivery (untrue because no-one came to my door and I was at home the whole day that they allege the delivery attempt was made) and they claimed that they had left a card to rearrange delivery (untrue as there was no card). Instead, they delivered to Bargain Booze (which is what has always happened in the past) and then I had to go and collect the parcel: this is NOT what I agreed to when I made the purchase.
For this reason alone, I have deducted a star as it spoilt an otherwise excellent service. I would think twice about buying from Schuh again, simply because they use UPS, which is a shame as I was pleased with my purchase.

"Made a mess and left me to tidy up"
First of all, parcel got lost and never showed up. I needed this for a specific date but they never came. Spoke to customer service and they said there’s a pair in a store beside where i stay, i was desperate to get these in time as it was only two days till i needed them, so i offered to go and collect. Of course they insist that UPS will deliver for me in time. I questioned them as it was only two days till i neeeded them. i contacted the following day and day after as they hadn’t arrived and i was appalled at the service. i requested an immediate refund and said don’t bother delivering these shoes i do not want the hassle. got my refund and they show up outside my door! never even got a chance to turn them away. so then after all the bother and hassle, schuh caused me they have a cheek to push my to send them all the money back or send the shoes back. i refused and said no i’m sending these back how many times, i don’t want them. Now at the end of all the stress and bother they caused me i’m left to tidy it up for them. Also they have an absolute cheek on their website reviews only showing 5 star reviews. pretty much a scam company save ur time and shop at footasylum or jd.
