With my other insurance policies, I receive a confirmation when $$$ are automatically withdrawn from my checking account on the given dates.

I don't receive any confirmation through mail or an email.

It sure would be comforting to get something from AXA.

"Poor communication and delays in…"

Poor communication and delays in response.
I emailed many times due to no phone options at my end, only to have to wait in some instances up to 2 days for a response. My contact details were not shared with the local in country Axia rep which also led to delays in ensuring my medical needs were met.

"AXA Very Helpful"

Developed pneumonia in a trip to Turkey and was hospitalized for over a week. AXA helped every step of the way. I don't know what we would have done without them. They helped with everything. Very, very appreciative of their support.

"Despite having been granted a…"

Despite having been granted a pre-authorization for surgery, we have been given the run-around with the reimbursement process where reportedly mailed communications from me are not received (even though they are tracked as well as faxed) and supposed further instructions were sent to us for the reimbursement process that we never received either. We've been submitting documents since July 2024, for a procedure that took place in May 2024. The vacillation of an elderly patient on a fixed income is not acceptable. On the other hand, our nursing case manager has been exceptional.

"Reps didn't think about helping me"

Reps didn't think about helping me, they thought only about following default scenarios.
It took too long.
I didn't like the service at all.

Finally I went with my private insurance company, provided by my bank, and it worked just like charm.

UPD: the reply from the company looks like a quote from Beavis and Butt-Head cartoon on MTV - see the series about customer service - the fourth episode of season 8.
