The previous resident of my apartment was evicted and owed lots of money to many organizations. I have been bombarded with mail which the mail man is automatically returning. I had a visit while out once form a debt collector and I have grown increasingly frustrated with this situation. I put a "Statutory Declaration" on my door which explained that they are no longer here and I have no association with them and you have no authority to enter or take goods etc. I said in no uncertain terms that they must leave and "go away." This is a legal document and binding. Including within it was a withdrawal of their implied right of access, not that I needed it because my building and its apartments all are behind a locked door which only residents can enter. I made it clear that I would consider any contact harassment, trespassing and a violation of my civil rights, which it would be.

I had a visit from Court Enforcement Services while at work and a letter slipped under my door. They broke in, entered my block, read and ignored my notice and left a letter for the previous resident using threatening language and not identifying who actually called and giving a clearly fake name "John Hancock" who is a founding father of the USA and a colloquium for a signature.


They were warned in writing, chose to break the law, broke and entered my building, trespassed, and violated my civil rights. This is a rough trader and needs to be shut down and they are operating outside the law. I am taking them to court for these breaches.

There are legitimate cases where money needs to be recovered. However, there's cases where wrong person is prosecuted. The Court Enforcement Services are required to serve legal documents, and in doing so have to work with integrity, unfortunately CES are lacking in this concept, with a lot of untruthful statements to me and the ico. Having had a wrongful CCJ issued to me in default, I had to spend a lot of money having it set aside. Once I did, I simply asked CES to remove my details from their system, they have refused to do so.

After a dispute with a vehicle repair garage who refused to refund me for not fixing my car, my money claim was processed very swiftly by Court Enforcement Services. The County Court ruled in my favour by default judgement since the garage (defendant) failed to respond to any correspondence for a dispute resolution. The judgement had to be enforced by writ from the High Court which Court Enforcement Services were able to acquire swiftly and proceed with enforcement. The whole process of recovering the funds from start to finish took less than 2 weeks. I am very pleased with the professional service provided by Court Enforcement Services and would recommend them to anyone who have been manipulated and ripped off by a vehicle service/repair garage or any other retail/business.

"Recovered one debt - but communication could be better"

I've had two debts I'm trying to chase. One eventually was recovered, but I feel like communication could be better to make it more satisfactory. Despite stipulating times for when debt collectors are best attending properties, I am told they choose their timings and manage their own workload, meaning they ignore your advice of when it is best to get an answer or questions about when they will return. I advised one of the debtors is away during school holidays and not at home during the day, and so a majority of the visits were scheduled during the during the day and in school holidays! The process could be a lot easier to retreive money. It also appears all they've done with my second debt collection is knock on the door a few times at ad-hoc hours. As I say, could be better, although I've had one positive outcome.

I cannot praise the system highly enough. They did a first class job.
After spending about eight months attempting to recover a large debt I lost patience and set the legal wheels in motion.
The Court went into action straight away and literally the day after the legal notification period elapsed respecting my debtor the enforcement officers went in to their premises and came away with payment in full.
You simply can't ask for more than that and I therefore unreservedly recommend this service to anyone struggling for justice.

An absolutely disgusting useless service. Hired them to recover the outstanding debt from the debtor adress , they waited sufficent time allowing the debtor to disappear then decided to trace him. Guess what?
All of the sudden agent knocks on the doors of the creditor- my doors ! :D :D Then even although of giving them a current debtor adress they have decided to close the case and send me an invoice for compliance fee. I did not get the money owed and will have to spend 90pounds more just for nothing on top of 71 to create the writ. so additional 160 lost on the top of my debt- Thank you. I wish your businness a quick shut down!
