"What a turn around!"

The card they had sent out didn’t activate properly so I couldn’t get in the car, it was really frustrating but the man on the customer service team got me going in just a few mins!
What could have been a really terrible experience was turned around quickly and efficiently with one call to someone who cared! Amazing customer service!

"Genuinely amazing idea"

Genuinely amazing idea! I recently had to get rid of my car and I signed up to co wheels as an alternative and I have to say I’m impressed! The level of customer service I have received has been amazing! The cars could do with a good clean from time to time but overall they are in good condition.

"4th cancellation of a booking - AVOID"

I am now on my 4th cancellation of a booking by Cowheels. Try someone else, they are not reliable and their managment are in hiding. As with most cancellations, this was done without agreement or acknowledgement. Fortunately only giving me a 2 mile walk at 7am to find the replacement vehicle. Fortunately I spotted it because I have no trust in this business and I need to check the bookings daily. I am looking for alternatives. They NEVER call back to discuss their issues. They can leave you stranded. Beware.

"The booking process is not clear, be careful if you sign up for the account you can't access the car until 2 weeks later"

I need a car for a day trip in 2 days, and found Co-wheels car club existing in my neighbourhood. I quickly sign up with the promotiono offer gift offer to reserve the car I wanted, however after payment, the process and pricing of how to access the car is not clear. Only after receiving email I understand I need to wait for a "smartcard" to arrive in 2 weeks. I called to cancel the giftcard purchase I made 5 mins ago, they said no. So I am stuck with a £50 giftcard that I don't need.

"A Joke of an Experience, No Customer Care"

I joined co-wheels to hire a car for work. I usually use Enterprise, but I wanted to see what Co-wheels was like. Unfortuantely, their service and standards were poor and I will certainly not be using them again. The first problem was that the membership card I was sent had not been activated, which meant I had to wait in the rain for 15 minutes on hold until they were able to unlock it remotely. Then as soon as I was in the car it didn't feel right and the steering was very light. There was a warning light on the dashboard but I didnt know what it was. Then after I stopped and restarted the car I was met with a severe tyre pressure warning. I called them to ask what to do and they said I had to call breakdwon, or there was nothing they could do. I explained that i couldnt do this as I had a work appointment - my whole reason for borrowing the car - so they said there was nothing they could do.

Upon checking the tyre pressures I discovered that they were over 10psi too high in each wheel! I was told that the car had been checked just before I borrowed it, but obviously very badly. I was told that I was not entitled to any compensation for my discomforts as I had chosen not to call breakdown. And to top it off I wasn't even offered a refund for the £2 I had to pay for air to fix the fault of their poor standards!!!

A really embarrassing experience all round that ended up costing nearly £200 including the joining fee for a 36 hour hire. I will be sticking to Enterprise in the future, and I suggest everyone else does the same. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

"I've used cowheels since 2020"

I've used cowheels since 2020. So much easier and often cheaper than car rentals. The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. Today Id forgot to update my licence and needed to extend a booking. They sorted it all out with me in 5 minutes.

"I certainly would not be recommending Con-Wheels"

I certainly wouldn’t be recommending Co-Wheels, joined to compare in relation to a conventional hire company, was certainly not any better value in my opinion.
To make matters worse I joined via the app and was not made clear of a £25 fee for membership ‘should be made clear on the front page’, I have 14 days to cancel, luckily noticed the payment in my bank account, well within the 14 day period to cancel the account. I have requested the cancellation. I just wonder how many poor folk have missed the membership fee and have passed the 14 day cancellation period. Very misleading in my opinion and will certainly NOT use at anytime in the future. Should change name to CON-WHEELS!

"Rejoining..."

I left CoWheels four years ago, but wanted to rejoin. Within a couple of hours of asking for details of how to do so they told me the required documents, which I obtained, and re-activated my account.

...not yet taken out a car, but booked one.

"Co-wheels car always parking out of zone, nuisance to residents"

Co-wheels car always parking out of zone in a street with limited parking for residents.
Having contact their helpline they confirmed that the car should be slightly further away in a zone where there's plenty of parking.
It's apparent it's mostly one-sporadic hirer, who seemingly can't be bothered to walk a v short distance further. The car is left for days, sometimes weeks at a time unmoved.
Upon asking helpdesk again when the car would be moved, Lauren advises me to contact the local council who they have a contract with to discuss where Co-Wheels vehicles are parked.
Zero stars for complete lack of understanding and consideration.
Surely it's Co-Wheels responsibility to ensure their hirers park in allocated zones so as not to cause a nuisance - that's part of the agreed conditions.

And based on Kristians response, the zoning is irrelevant as hirers can park anywhere they want.
