Signed up on the Thursday, read some reviews about them not getting back to you for accepting applications so I called to query how long this would take and they passed it there and then. Have booked in several bookings for this month. The only down side is that the car is stationed over a mile from where I live so use will be for essential trips only

"Very bad user experience and onboarding…"
Very bad user experience and onboarding flow. Switched my account on and off multiple times. Asked me to verify documents, which costed me money, and don't even provide a way to easily upload and make sure provided documents are with them. Don't recommend it, makes your life harder rather than easier.

Have been a member for a few years now. In the past I
have always had 1st class
support and the vehicles available are excellent.
I deeply regret that since
CoVid struck the service and
support has gone way,way down. I will remain a member
because I believe in car clubs
and know they will play a significant part in removing
a large number of unnecessary cars from the roads and reduce the motoring carbon footprint.
I really hope that CoWheels Car Club can get its mojo back and revert to the excellent Club it was.

"Unreliable service"
We’ve been using co- wheels for a number of years and had really positive experiences in the past. However, of late they’ve been awful - cancelling cars at short notice and giving us an alternative that’s 45 min walk away, electric cars not being charged and awful customer service. I’ve emailed on numerous occasions and never heard back and their phone staff need further training on basic customer service. A shame because in the past they’ve been great but going by our experience over the last 6 months I wouldn’t recommend.

"Awful - but better than nothing."
We have been using Co-Wheels for a year.
There have been endless problems: cars not being there, cars not fuelled, dirt in the cars, keys suddenly not working. All not really the fault of the organisation. But then also being asked to go and get cars that are parked in the wrong place a mile away, having a booking transferred to different car which is much smaller than the one booked, the "hold" feature on the phone line doesn't work - it just sends you round in circles for literally hours and after all of this, never an offer of a refund. Most fundamentally we have to book cars weeks in advance. Sadly, we are stuck between a rock and a hard place as the service, though terrible, is minutely better than having a car.

"It's good once you get an account"
It's good once you get an account, but that takes forever. It's complicated, the website and app are clunky and lack useful functions. My partner added me to her profile, spent 15£, I got the account created (after weeks) but I am still not on her account as an alternative driver. You would think a company that operates online has some slick procedures in place and a functioning IT department. The state of that app tho...

I'm new to ecars and have used them only for short journeys. Very helpful operator provided clear information about charging en route.

Early on this year, I closed my account for personal reasons. I started to try and open the account two days ago and the support I have had from Jacky and Rachel is beyond words both were very helpful and sorted things quickly. If all companies took lessons from these two young ladies problems would be non. Thank you again.

Since 2020 I am a member and there is no better option in Oxford then Co Wheels the cars is always clean inside and prices are very competitive if you are a person that doesn't want to own a car but still have the option to have one available for some hours.

Contacted customer service regarding information on the Nissan enV200 van that I have booked. They were helpful, in responding to my query about starting the van but were unable to tell me the exact model trim of the van that I had booked.
