"Fell far below what I had experienced with previous hires."
I've used Co-Wheels a couple of times and found it really good and the cars spotless, especially with Covid-19 this was reassuring. However the last time I used it fell way, way below what I was expecting with the condition of the car and the customer service. When I arrived the car was filthy inside, with the previous car user leaving used tissues, spilt coffee, used sweet wrappers, greasy finger marks everywhere and food crumbs and hair ties left about. With Covid-19 and the messaging about making sure the cars are cleaned this was not what I experienced. I had to bring the car home and clean and sanitize it. I called Customer Service within 30 minutes of hiring and then emailed the Customer Service email with photos. I was told a reply would be made within 48 hours. I got one today which is 7 days later with a pretty paltry sorry. I believe that if a customer gets a car in this condition and has to take time out the hire period to clean the car should be reimbursed for the time wasted. Pretty disappointed and less likely to use the car again if I experience the same issue at the next hire.

Twice I've had to phone in the past couple of days due to unforeseeable circumstances and the team have been SO accommodating. Could not recommend this company enough!! So easy, very affordable and great cars!! 10/10.

Nothing but praise for this company and scheme in general. Hourly car and van rental should’ve been a thing a long time ago. Booking is simple. Prices are very fair and customer service is great. Easy to report damage prior to booking starting meaning you don’t have to worry about the blame being pinned on you.

Really good customer service. I asked for my account approval to be expedited and they did that within a day and sent the smart card via first class mail which arrived the next day. A big thanks to Amy / Kate who was very helpful. On a side note, it would indeed be good to have more automatic transmission cars and a filter on the website to only see automatic cars when making a booking. Nonetheless, very satisfied with the sign up process (which was not at all good for their rival Zipcar).

Mix of cars types and models, I personally like to see more automotive ones vs the manual ones. In the catchment area where I live there are only 3 ones.

I joined Cowheels as a way to get around while waiting for a new car to be delivered. Initially it was good and I was impressed with the customer service (first time I used a car I couldn't work out how to unplug it but rang the helpline and was quickly put through to someone who talked me through it).
The problem was that the Cowheels car was parked next to another car club charging point in the same car park, and TWICE in a week, the previous user had plugged it into the wrong charging point, so the Cowheels card did not work to disengage it. The first time it happened I rang Cowheels and they said there was nothing they could do, and to ring the helpline on the other charging point. I was on the phone 45 mins to someone who could not grasp the problem and did nothing to help, so I had to abandon my plans. I made it clear to Cowheels that something should be done about the problem - it was an easy mistake to make as there was no sign on the Cowheels charging point to make it clear that was the one to plug into.
Less than a week later, I arrived at the carpark to find the same thing had happened again. Nothing had been done to fix the problem (even though presumably someone from Cowheels would have had to attend to sort out the issue). Again, I missed my appointment. Luckily my new car has now arrived, as I was very fed up with Cowheels! In theory it's a great scheme but they need to act faster to sort out problems.

I cannot speak highly enough of Co-wheels. A totally seamless pick up and drop off service at Oxenholme station. Your responsiveness when I called a few times with questions (including Sunday) was second to none. Thanks a million.
